Has anyone done OOT bags for 50+ guests?

Recommended Posts

We're looking at about 60 guests for our Mayan Riviera wedding, and I really want to provide welcome bags, but the logistics seem a nightmare! Has anyone tackled this?

Travel mugs would seem to pose a particular problem - I guess you hand those out before hand?

We are having around 80 people for our wedding and we are doing welcome bags as well. Like budgetjamaicabride (ha thats long!) everyone will get a travel mug and then the rest will be a bag per couple, single or family. We will take everything down along with help from our parents and friends-cause it will be alot. We have people flying out of 10 different cities (both US and Canada) so it would be impossible to do it beforehand.

We are also cups, (the color changing ones) not mugs because they stack inside each other well so it makes packing them easier. I am not sure if my resort charges to hand out bags. If they do, then we will just hand them out at dinner ourselves. Although I good amount of them are all coming in on the same day, so we may hang in the lobby and greet them and hand them out.

For my girlfriends oot bag she's just doing a little welcome booklet that has a welcome letter and 7 pages of info about the resort we are staying in. It turned out cute. We made them out of paper bags and raffia. When we get down there she's adding snacks in the bags. Maybe some advil or something but nothing big. She wanted the canvas oot bags to be the focus not whats in them. This way she didn't have to lug all that stuff down there. If you think about it who doesn't have the munchies late at night after a night of partying. Just ideas. Good luck ladies.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
