We arrived for our wedding week on Monday, most guests didn't come till Thursday, wedding was on Saturday. On Sunday, we moved to the other side of the island for 5 days, stayed at The Amanyara. I felt like I was on a totally different island, it actually took some getting used to. I would highly recommend for any Turks & Caicos brides to look into The Amanyara for a couple of days. I just wish they didn't allow children, or that there was a separate pool for kids. Lots of honeymooners, lots of privacy, very romantic. I call it my MiniMoon, everyone laughs! Hope to go to the Maldives for 1 yr anniversary and will be same time as my 30th birthday AND I like to say it will be a Babymaking Moon combined with Honeymoon. Ha!

As of right now the plan is to stay at the wedding resort for about 5 days with friends and family.  Wedding on Friday, TTD shoot on Saturday and say goodbye to those leaving and then heading to a sister resort in another location for about another 4 days or so on that Sunday.

I would love to fly to a different location for the honeymoon but we figured we do a half honeymoon now and then save up for Bora Bora in 2012.  Since he agreed to that I was ok with our current plan.  wink.gif

My wedding is my honeymoon. We are arriving in Jamaica on November 9th, getting married on the 11th and leaving on the 16th. We are only staying one week. I am thinking about extending it for another couple of days, but I have to see how our budget goes. I am hooping to extend it; one week is not enough.

We are doing a cruise wedding so due to budget...it is also our honeymoon...WITH FRIENDS lol. AND our son who will be around 3 when the wedding gets here. I keep pushing the wedding back further and further the more i research ports and ships since it will be our honeymoon also, I want to make sure I;m choosing the right ship and ports to make it worth our while. I think it will be a great honeymoon even with our friends. We may do a mini-moon alone for one weekend after we get back.

  • 1 month later...

We are having our wedding on Isla Mujeres off the coast of Cancun and then plan to honeymoon in Tulum. We have not booked our honeymoon hotel yet and time is starting to get away from us. Any suggestions for a great hotel, possibly all-inclusive (but not giant resort), for late January 2011?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
