Is Your Wedding Trip Also Your Honeymoon?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We are s[ending 1 week at the same hotel and then moving to another hotel where it will be just the two of us. We thought it would be nice to spend time with family and friends who have flown out to celebrate our marriage.

We'll be spending a week in Kaua'i getting all the last minute things sorted. We'll be on the island long enough for a day-after brunch. Then we leave for the Big Island for 4 nights where we'll do lots of hiking and relaxing in small, luxury inns. Then we move onto Maui for 3 nights where we'll play Hawaiian tourist and stay in a large resort.

We are staying at the same resort after the wedding. We decided it would be fun to spend the week with our friends and family! Especially the ones we don't get to see very often.

this is one of the main reasons for us doing the DW!! 2 birds..one stone. We plan on making sure that everyone else is gone the last few days we are there...just so we can feel like it is a honeymoon.

We are not having a separate honeymoon that week, but we travel a lot together so we'll probably just go somewhere completely different later on in the year...that way FI will have enough time to forget how much $$ we spent on the actual wedding, haha!

We are having our wedding in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii and are going to stay in hawaii for our honeymoon. But after the wedding we will stay 2 extra days in maui and then take a plane from island to island staying 3-4 days on each one.

Getting married on Grand Bahama Island and will stay a few days after the wedding to wind down. Then we will switch to New Providence Island (Nassau) for the honeymoon. Figure this would be a good compromise to avoid getting roped into group activities during the honeymoon.
