We'll be in Tulum 14 days: it is a weddingmoon :-) We liked the idea of relaxing and staying in the same place...

Alone for the first week, then being joined by our guests for the wedding and post-wedding celebrations.

I'm very excited, we're leaving June 20th so it's fast approaching!!!

We stayed in Cuba for 14 nights in total, 7 nights on the resort with family, 2 nights on the resort alone after everyone left, and then 5 nights in Havana alone. I am so happy we stayed longer than everyone else and took the time to do what we wanted to. I would recommend spending at least a couple of nights alone after the wedding :)

Either way, we are excited as we have never been to any of those places.
UPDATE: it looks like we are going to move to another resort. We are now considering the following: El Dorado Royale, Excellence Riviera Puerto Morelos, and Secrets Mamora. I am so excited that we now get to stay at two different resorts and will prob. stay longer now.

BTW: any input on any of the resorts listed above is really appreciated.

i did the weddingmoon... we only stayed for the week and the day after the wedding my husband and i went to Havana away from everybody... we had a great time and sure we wish we could have stayed longer but if we had the $$$$ then we definitely would have done that... I had a great time.. and i think that our decision to have both at once was very economical and perfect for us... we might take a four day trip to NYC in the early summer but we havent decided that yet :)

We are going to Varadero Cuba from May 1-8, 2010 for our wedding (Wedding date is May 5th). Our honeymoon will then be a Royal Caribbean Cruise from May 9-16, 2010.

It will be a little bit of chaos since we have to Fly from Toronto to Cuba, Cuba back to Toronto. Then for the honeymoon flight out the next morning to Florida, Cruise and then back to Toronto!

I'm so excited & ready for it though! I can't wait :)

Our wedding will also be our Honeymoon (a WeddingMoon!), we are arriving May 30th 2010 and staying until June 6th 2010, and we will be getting June 1st. We are staying at the same place (Sandals Royal Caribbean, Montego Bay, Jamaica) the whole week. It is just going to be the 2 us, no one is coming out for the wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
