Will you stay longer at same hotel?
Go to diff hotel on same island?
Fly to new location all together?
Take a cruise? etc etc....

I'd love to hear your plans.

FI and I have not yet decided.
We were orginally were going to stay longer at our hotel for a honeymoon, but FI said let's go somewhere we have never been before, somewhere different than Mexico.... so we are flying to St Lucia for 5 days at the Anse Chastenet/Jade Mountain after staying a week at the Grand in Riviera Maya.

We're doing the same! Staying with our family and friends for our weddingmoon and then a great trip in a year's time.

Since we are already flying down there, and we love Mexico, we decided to stay there for our honeymoon. First week is at the Grand Palladium, Riviera Maya where we are getting married. Then 2nd week we are switching to the Excellence Riviera Cancun (adults only..yay!) for our honeymoon. We considered staying at the same resort for 2 weeks..just maybe upgrade to the Royal section, but thought we would appreciate the change of resorts, and also wanted adults only for our honeymoon. We also didn't want to waste an extra day traveling to another location, and we have already been to Cabo, Cancun, Rosario, Acapulco in Mexico.. so figured we would rather stay in the Riviera Maya, it is so beautiful there. Plus, we travel a lot, so figured we would hit up our other dream spots eventually. Euro trip is on the agenda for next year :)

We are staying longer than everyone else. Getting there 4/8, Wedding is 4/10, staying til 4/18.

Most people will be coming for 4 nights. I'm hoping that nobody is planning to stay a week!

Luckily the resort is a 2 in 1 so there will be plenty of space if any of our guests decide to stay longer!

We are staying a few extra days after all people go (hopefully) to take a breather. Then 6 months later we are going to Maui to celebrate with Evan's extended family there since they prob wont make it to mexico. Then we plan on hopping to Kauai for some alone time!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
