Hi Ladies,

Just curious about what aspects of your big day are super important to you and which you couldn't care less about.

So far, for me:

Must Have:

Close Fam/Friends

Kickass Photographer

Steel Pan Drummers

Don't Care:

Amazing Centerpieces

Aisle Runner

Cake Toppers

What are your must haves / don't cares?

Must haves :

1. Family/friends

2. Real champagne (not sparkling wine) and stunning food (my French side - I could not do a Mexican or BBQ wedding)

3. More food and drinks than can be absorbed (I could not live with people being hungry or thirsty)

4. Great music

5. Professional photographer + videographer (for all those that could not make it)

6. Intimacy (not a huge resort - not a crowded beach)

Don't care :

1. Matching colors

2. Elaborate menus or place cards

3. Centerpieces, flowers : the hotel and beach are so beautiful by themselves

4. Aisle runner, bows on the chairs : we are on the beach... keep it simple

5. Live music

6. Cake (nobody will be hungry any more - see point 3 above lol)

7. Speeches

Must not have (I add to the list wink.gif ) :

1. Receiving line

2. Feeding each other with the cake

3. Garter toss

4. Toast master / wedding bells

5. Religious conotations

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
