Pre Cruise wedding ceremony

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone had their wedding ceremony in Miami or Ft Lauderdale prior to boarding the cruise? I am leaving from Ft Lauderdale.

I've looked at getting married on one of the Carribean islands however they are very pricey. This may be a better alternative cost wise.

Would love to hear from you.

Thanks

I am getting married on the port of Fort Lauderdale before my cruise leaves. I wanted to get married on the beach in the caribbean, but it would have taken some of my guests out of attending the wedding. I have guests who are cruising with us and also guests who are just coming for the wedding. The wedding is at 1:00 pm and they will depart the ship before we sail at four.

Actually, if you don't want to do anything with the cruise line, click on the link below:

They perform weddings at there location and they are located in the Ft. Lauderdale area. A friend of mine got married their two weeks ago here, right before departing on RCCL ship out of Ft. Lauderdale. Hope this helps!

Hey I am getting married in St Thomas by way of the Carnival Freedom. I'm using an on island WC and we booked our trip with a Carnival PVP. We gave our group over 8 months to book and pay off their trip. Surprisingly we have 39 ppl going. Most ppl are using the cruise as their vacay not just for our wedding. I think if you give ppl ample time to pay u'd be surprised how many ppl choose to go... However witht his economy we have alotta ppl who aren't going as well. An AHR would be a good option as well...

Happy Planning.

Were also planning on doing something like this bc my mom is scared of "boats" lol. So if I cant get her on the ship we will be married on a Florida beach maybe a day b4 the cruise is set to sail. If guest wanna come they can bc we plan on taking our children with us. If we can get my mom on the cruise then we will think about doing it on 1 of the islands at port.

Hi,

There are a number of couples who have commented about their Pre Cruise Wedding Experience on the Following sites: www.PreCruiseWeddings.com  and www.CharlesGilbride.com

Of course, if you have any questions, at all, I'd be delighted to help with whatever information I have. There are also a number of slideshow videos on these two sites.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
