People did say they looked at them, and I think they were impressive in the bags, but they're totally not a necessity. I think people liked the Spanish Words and phrases and the cute paper I printed it on just as well. The pics in the background of the paper were taken by Jeff and we told everyone that so they were impressed. I think it depends on how many you will need- if you need more than 15 or so, I don't think the extra weight is worth it. I can't remember how many guests you are expecting... I really can't think of much that I would change about my OOT bags. My guests loved them and were so surprised and thanked us many times for all the fun stuff. I had a bunch of junk from Oriental Trading company that I didn't think people would use, but I saw people using the pens, notepads, and beach safes despite my worries. Where did you purchase your bags? I love the short handle but having a hard time finding these. Do you mind sharing?

this is a great list...I need to find reasonable price travel candles..$4 or $5 seems awfully high..I have already spent so much on the bags if anyone has any recommendations where to buy let me know!

Michael's has travel candles (in the tins) for $1, they're a good size too, and have tropical scents!

I just got started on my bags this weekend and have been on the hunt for good deals and great ideas. This thread has been awesome - Thanks everyone!

 

So far all I have are bags (got them at Old Navy for $8 each) and sunscreen (used my points at the drug store so they were FREE!!!!) I also plan to order travel mugs from discount mugs. The rest... who knows! I need some DIY projects to keep me on budget!

 

If anyone has any pics of their luggage tags, I would love to see them!

How many items should be in the OOT bags? It seems like the list can go on and on...

I'm nervous about shipping or brining my OOT through Mexico customs. I am thinking about shipping them a week before we leave to everyone.

 

Does anyone have any suggestion on wording for them? Normally you say thank you for coming....but they aren't technically there yet!
