To all previous OOT bag givers...

Recommended Posts

Hi Courtney,

I found some travel kits at Walmart on the weekend. They are $5 each and have 11 items in them including little shaving cream, shampoo, deodorant, and a ton of other items. I bought six and I am going to split them up. I also found chapstick (3 for $3) I have other little bags that I am going to make a travel kit and put in a bunch of different items. The bags are a great deal though. Also there are travel candles (really cute beach ones) at Michaels for $1.29. Being in Calgary I thought I would let you know some good deals!

What I have so far:

Travel candle

Organza bag with homemade seashell soaps (so easy to do)

CD

Travel kits

flip flop key chain for the girls

seashell bottle opener for the boys

I also had m&ms personalized with our names on them, but they may end up being the favour.

I can't stop shopping for these bags though! I only have four months to go, with all the time you have they will be packed full!!

Let me know if you find any good deals.

Rita

Unless its something you're willing to part with because of lost shipments, pack it in your suitcase (or in a family member's suitcase... they may have a much needed spare). Also, it can get pretty pricy to ship.

If you can, ask friends/family members to help you lug stuff down..We took two totes and a large duffle full of decor and OOT stuff and will still have lots to take. You can also check with your airline on the cost to check additional bags. Going over the weight limit can get pricey too so weigh your bags before going.

Our bridesmaids have all said they'll leave room for us because they're only bring one checked bag.

We're packing everything too, I figure if we have an extra empty suitcase on the way home we can use it for anything we buy while we're down there.

I'm trying to be careful of how much I buy for the bags knowing that I'm going to have to pack it all.

QUESTION: I am trying to figure out what to put in OOT bags in terms of clothing. I am getting Pash's (THANKS GLENDA!!!) for the ladies.

We are using an "I Heart Muzzafoos" theme (our names combined - all our friends joke that we should make this our last name).

Should I get:

1) Hats for the guys with the theme on it? I figure hats are easier bc I don't have to guess sizes.

2) Tshirts for the guys with the logo on it?

3) Either 1 or 2 and a tank top for the ladies with the logo on it?

I'm getting tote bags as the welcome bag. I'm figuring the ladies will keep that. I don't want to give the ladies all the gifts.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
