At least, my guests didn't - most of them were drinking mixed drinks and wine, not beer. If you have more beer drinkers than we did it would be more useful.
Sarah, I just love your bags ... Mine will aspire to be as nice as yours were.

Maybe for koozies or cups, since we are also going to a Dreams resort, we can add something like, "I survived Paula & Jeremy's wedding in Cancun Mexico" since they would probably just use them later as well.

1) Was there any item that you wish you had included in your OOT bags?

A reminder itinerary of the weekend events with time and location. I got so busy that I never printed them out.

2) Was there anything you included that could have been nixed, or your guests didn't use very often?

Bought extra floaties since I heard that Dreams can run out. Also supplied large sippee cups so guests could drink to their delight. Neither were needed since service was good and other guests didn't hog pool area.

3) Was there any certain items that your guests really used a lot, or really loved?

Pashminas for the women! The bags themselves. More men actually carried them than I expected. Also the snacks since sometimes people didn't want a full meal just popcorn or chips.

We are using an "I Heart Muzzafoos" theme (our names combined - all our friends joke that we should make this our last name).

Should I get:
1) Hats for the guys with the theme on it? I figure hats are easier bc I don't have to guess sizes.
2) Tshirts for the guys with the logo on it?
3) Either 1 or 2 and a tank top for the ladies with the logo on it?

I'm getting tote bags as the welcome bag. I'm figuring the ladies will keep that. I don't want to give the ladies all the gifts.
Hats would be great! I actually did golf shirts and visors for the guys golfing and it was a huge hit.

Dramamine!! I was going to then just told people to bring their own. We ended up bringing extra and passing them out anyway so we should have just put them in the bags. We were on a boat though so it may not be needed if you're just on land.

I didn't see anyone use the playing cards but maybe they did in their rooms at night? I could have done without them but they were cute.

Dominoes!! Many guests thought they were too cool and played by the pool like everyday.

They loved the portfolios I put in their bags. They were like 12 pages but guests were impressed and found them usefeul. It included a welcome letter, itinerary, maps of PV and where everyone was staying, history of PV, where to shop, where to sight-see for free, guided tour info, a page of tips for staying healthy, and emergency info (#'s to embassies, doctors, credit card companies, etc.)

They used the monogrammed bags often too and loved them, some people brought them to the wedding too. Oh, oddly also cocoa butter bar soap was a hit. Sometimes people forget that hotel soap is really drying and don't pack their own.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
