Hi Tracy! I'm pretty sure we've decided to have our wedding at the Exellence Playa Mujeres too. My date is 10/03/09 so I'm running waaay behind. You mentioned in your reply under my thread about having a friend who advised you to pick the EPM. Did your friend love the beach? I'm always just so skeptical because there's so many ways to manipulate a picture on the web. I can't wait until I am sure that this is "the" place! I'll be sure to let you know if I get married here. Congrats to you too!

I think I've decided on Excellence Playa Mujeres...if I can get Yamina the wedding coordinator to return any of my emails or phone calls to see if my date is available. Does anyone know a good photographer that works in that area? I hope it's close enough to Playa del Carmen, there's a cave-bar/restaurant there that a friend told me is absolutely amazing! Plus, I'd love to check out a town while I'm there, I get restless at resorts.

Does anyone know anything bad about this resort?

Welcome to the forum!

 

I also used Sascha Gluck for my wedding and he did an Amazing job. I would advise against using the resort photographers. I looked at some of their work while I was there and it was definately not near the quality of Sascha.....and they charge more! Some resorts charge a fee to bring in an outside vendor but it is worth it! I talked to one of the other brides that got married at The Royal PDC while I was there and she used the resort photographer. They DID NOT edit any of her pictures, she got all raw images! Sascha edits all of his photos.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
