less expensive Photographer

Recommended Posts

I am getting married at the Riu Santa Fe and their new policy states that there are to be no outside photographers sad.gif I would highly recommended Alberto Misrachi though! His work is beautiful, he is easy to commincate with and his prices are VERY reasonable. I hope you are allowed to bring your photographer on site!!!

I do believe you are allowed to provide your own photographer at the RIU now. I love Dino's work, I am going to look more into him.

This is off the policy page for the RIU:

NOTE: YOU ARE ALLOWED TO BRING YOUR OWN PHOTOGRAPHER, IN WHICH YOU HAVE TO PAY HIM A DAY PASS(100.00usd) SO HE CAN BE IN THE HOTEL(For outside provenders is a regular day pass cost). (If you donâ€t use the photos of your package, we are not allowed to change for additional services.)

FOR THIS I USED TO ARRANGE AN APPOINTMENT WITH PEOPLE OF THE COMPANY THE SAME DATE THAT YOU MEET WITH ME (DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR WEDDING DATE) SO YOU CAN WORK ON IT TOGETHER. THEY WORK TOGETHER WITH US, SO THEY MAKE ALL THE PHOTOS INCLUDED ON THE PACKAGES AND ARE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR WEDDING DATE.

I would definitely check to make sure you'll be able to bring in your own photographer - nothing worse than being blindsided by that! If by chance you're not allowed to do that or the fee will make it cost-prohibitive, I might suggest that you bring along your own photographer anyway, and do an after-wedding session. You'll be in such a beautiful place that it'll be easy to do lots of photography outside the actual "wedding" while you're still all gussied up. That way you've got your bases covered and lots of beautiful images to remember the day by.

Good luck!

Hello! I hope you find a good photographer and, for the most part, most Cabo photographers have good and high standards, I'm sure whoever you pick will do his/her very best to put a smile on your face!

Thanks for the help!

Most photographers charge far more by the hour than if you purchase a wedding package so you might look into an option of a package. Just an FYI, for comparison purposes I charge #350.00 per hour and that covers both myself and the second photographer.

In regard to posts regarding outside photographers, you are allowed outside photographers. Check with you WC, from what we understand, and what we were told, since our photographers are staying at the hotel and are guests of the wedding, you are allowed outside vendors.

We recently received a document on wedding policies, and in regard to outside photographers, it seemed to say that as long as they have purchased wedding passes for the day ($100/per person per day ) it was allowed.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
