RIU Palace; when should I expect email from planner?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am getting married June 22, 2009 and am wondering when I should expect an email from a wedding planner at RIU. I have been corresponding wit Paola with questions, but haven't received any info from her yet? What choices will I make before I go? Do I need to contact the photographer? Any info is appreciated.

Thanks,

Brandi

Hi Brandi

Although there's some post like this one, you could give her a day or two for answering your emails, since RIU is a very solicited resort for weddings and she has a lot of emails to answer.

About the photographer, they have their own photog that has an exclusive contract with them, and many brides have found this to be a not so good call on RIU's side, but I've worked with Mango Productions and they're really good at what they do, so you can be at ease on that matter.

If you need any other vendors, there are plenty of us around here and the brides on the forum can help you with feedback and info on them.

Happy planning

Oh Brandi, you should contact Daniella!! I am getting married on June 25, 2009 6pm, well supposed to!!!!!! I emailed her this week and got a response yesterday that she DID NOT have MY WEDDING CONFIRMED! Mind you, I have all the emails stating confirmation, her services, prices, ect! So we will see what come of this. I forwarded her all of those email and told her she needs to look it all over. She was so rude to advise me to the reservation line of the hotel, not look into it herself! I am soooooooooo mad! Hopefully it gets better.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Brandi, send them an email now!! I will be arriving on the 22nd and staying through July 2 at the RIU palace, maybe we can meet up!

Brandi, I am getting a little worried myself! I did get an email back stating that they did have another wedding that they ha confirmed in that spot, but the would cancel it. How sad for the other bride! She will get it straight. What are you doing for center pieces, flowers, arch, welcome greeting? I am just trying to get everything together!

Also, the email address to the RIU palace is: weddings.loscabos@riu.com or weddings01@riu.com. Send your email to BOTH and SAVE all email transactions.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
