Gran Bahia Principe Punta Cana/Bavaro Wedding Packages??

Recommended Posts

We are booked at GBP Bavaro, wedding November 16, 2009. We have chosen the Sunshine package $1500US which includes 10 people. Just wondering what all you other GBP brides have chosen. We will have about 30 people, and the supplement is $85US each person to have the private reception at the Garden Grill restaurant. I love the idea of the private terracle, sound system, etc. but the cost is really getting up there and I wonder if it's necessary. But, I don't want to regret cheaping out, either:)

What packages are you girls' going withhuh.gif?:smile72.gif

Hello.. I went to the GBP 2 years ago for a wedding and the couple had chosen to not have a private reception. The supper was at the Garden Grill and it was DELICIOUS! They have a terrace outside that's fully covered and that's where they put you. There are 3-4 stairs and then a glass door to get into the rest of the restaurant so it is VERY private. There wasn't any music or anything but the supper lasted 2 hours and then people just went to the disco!

I really would like to stay away from the private reception as it is quite a cost, but the wedding coordinator really makes you feel like that is the only option. She says that without the private reception, only 10 guests will be seated together, and then the rest will have to book that restaurant rhu their a la cartes, and hopefully get in! As if!

Hi There!

Here is Gildania's contact information. She is the supervising wedding coordinator at GBP, and a few women work under her. If you e-mail her and ask for package information, she is pretty quick to get back to you.
Hope this helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
