Is anyone else getting married on blind faith?

Recommended Posts

Blind faith here. I've been to Jamaica and other AI resorts but not the one where my wedding is. FI has never been to the Carribean at all and didn't want to go before the wedding.

It was the reviews of Grand Palladium on this forum that helped me make my final decision.

I think I can top everyone in the respect that I am THE MOST BLIND - I actually have never been ANYWHERE. Honestly, I don't even have a passport (yet of course). So yeah....definitely blind faith over here!!! I've never even been to an airport before!!! OMG...this sounds so ridiculous as I'm typing it. I hope you ladies pray for me when I leave to get married. hahahaha.

The FI and I are in the "Helen Keller/Stevie Wonder" category of Blind if you're talking Blind Faith!

Not only have we not been to Jamaica yet, neither of us have been to a Sandals resort, either, so we are just going on what we've read on Trip Advisor, the Sandals site, and what the wonderful ladies of the BDW have said or shown in their reviews!

The adventure of going somewhere totally new to both of us is sort of symbolic of starting the journey of our lives together! If there are bumps along the way, at least we'll have each other along the ride!

totally blind faith for me. I picked the location from the reviews on this website! I have been to Riviera Maya and remember the beautiful water in Tulum so I knew I wanted something close. I think that makes it fun! I also just couldn't spend the extra money to go down beforehand. I also wanted to act quickly.

I wouldn't call it blind faith... there are so many wonderful women on this forum who have been to my destination and can attest to the greatness of it!!! I am cruising to my destination though and I've never been on a cruise. I like to think of it more as an adventure. I want my wedding experience to be full of firsts for me and my fiance!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
