We've never been to Dreams either. and eveyone was telling us "you have to go there first, blah blah blah" i was like Dude- are you gonna pay for that?!

I've read probably every single review on trip advisor and other sites and of course the BDW girls have been a HUGE help!

i guess we'll see how it goes!!!! fingers crossed!!

I have been to the Riviera Maya twice for vacations, but not to the resort we are having the wedding though. Never even heard of the resort until I started doing research...lol.

And our honeymoon is going to be in St Lucia at Anse Chastenet/Jade Mountain... never been to the island or hotel before either.

I used to work for a Student Tour Operator and literally LIVE in Mexico for 8-10 weeks every summer. I have been ALL OVER. FI and I have been to Cabo, PV and Ixtapa together many times. We both LOVE Cabo and it is close enough to where we live that it is fairly inexpensive for people to travel there. We have not been to the resort - we made that decision soley on reviews from BDW. We are going there at the end of May to check things out and get the lay of the land, but at that point it will be too late to change anything. We are confident that we made the right decision!

Yup! We just chose a resort which had pretty pictures and was in our budget. I actually chose our resort when there wasn't much information on it on this forum too, so that was scary! I doubted it many times, but in the end... we LOVED it!

It was also nice that we didn't have built up expectations. Like if we had gone to a resort and it was fabulous and the food was amazing and the service top notch, I'd be so nervous that I would tell all of our guests that and then they'd have high expectations and it'd be an "off week" or something and it wouldn't live up to their expectations. By going in site unseen we were all excited and everything was new and awesome.

what better way to start your wedding life than on blind faith!! You love each other and you and your family are together so what else really matters. I am jumping in head first after being together 11 years and 2 kids later and I am so excited. These sites also make it less tressful by reading reviews of others who have been there. Carol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
