Im going with Moments that Matter, they have been great at getting back to me, they always seem to reply within a few hours, they seem really friendly which I want. i think its important to be comfortable and have fun with the photographer, that way the photos will be more natural (in my opinion). I have also read great reviews about them.

Another thing to consider is what products you're getting and the quality. If you're getting an album there's a difference between an album that costs the photographer $100 and a $1000 album. Prints too. Who are their suppliers? If you're getting a DVD, then how many pictures are you getting minimum and are they color corrected and digitally edited?

Sincerely,

Nora

I just got married at the Royal in Cancun Real Resorts Mexico|Real Resorts Cancun| Real Resorts Playa del Carmen|Luxury Hotels in Mexico in Mexico on August 22, 2009.

We contracted Luz Maria Avila (see her work at Luz Maria Avila).

We were very pleased with her work and have gotten lots of compliments. We paid approx $560 USD and got about 4 hours of shooting, 150 fully edited B&W, sepia and color proofs in a beautiful black leather album, 150 images on a hi resolution CD, and musical montage photo CD just 3 days after our wedding!!! We were able to come home with all our pictures. She is working on getting me another 140+ pictures for an additional $150 USD at my request.

She is flexible, pleasant, responsible, honest and professional. We highly recommend her.

I am going with Cecilia Dumas so far, she has been great so far to responding, and answering any questions i have! There are a plethora of great photogs on this site alone, you just really have to do your research! Email every one you like, because you never know who is, and isn't in your price range! :) Good luck choosing, it was a very hard decision for me!

Choosing the right photographer was the hardest part of the entire planning process for me!! We ended up booking a photo session during our honeymoon- that way we had tons of time to play around, and get some great shots of just the 2 of us. I would TOTALLY recommend doing this. For our wedding we just crossed our fingers and went with the photographers included in our package- but we gave them some specific instructions about what shots we wanted, and in what style. In the end, it all worked out and we couldn't be more pleased with our decision!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
