When are you getting married next May? I am in the process of trying to book a date right now!  I am been searching this site and have found some helpful things in the other RIU Montego Bay forums and even the ROR forums...But I am still looking for more info!

Wow May 5th! I requested either May 4th but May 5th was my backup date!  We will be there at the same time!  I have a May 4th request date in right now so I am hoping I get that. I did get an email from "Mice" but all it said was that Arely Arce would be contacting me regarding the date I chose.  Are you going with the free package and just using add ons or are you going with a bigger package? Thats the first decision that I have to make. Are you using a travel agent?

wow! thats awesome,  I hope you get your date! maybe we will be sharing the same wedding day! I am booking group rates through destinationweddings.com it is a free service very convient, and they take all of the payments from your guests so that you do not have to deal with everything on your own! as of right now we have 28 guests that are joining us! How many guests will you have?

I am not sure what to do about the wedding package, i want to get married on the beach and not in one of the gazebos so i am not  sure if the package will actually benefit us, I am waiting to hear back from a women named sandy that handles the decor end of things. I have however picked a dj, and possibly a photographer. even though the resort charges you to use outside vendors i do believe that we are going to save money and get better results! If we end up at thre resort at the same time maybe we can meet! The resort is very slow moving (island time) so you do not always get quick responses but they will get back to you!

I am in the process of confirming right now, so it looks good for  5/4/2012!!  We will def have to meet once the time comes. I am sure this next year will fly by!! I should check out destinationweddings.com. My travel agent has been just ok at best. She's local but she takes forever to respond and it took her a month to even get me any kind of pricing. So I dont know what I am going to do.  I think we will have right around 20 guests. Give or take a couple. I am not sure about the beach or gazebo. My first initial reaction was to go with the beach. I heard it was really windy on the beach though. Either way whatever we choose it is going to be BEAUTIFUL!  I am choosing the free wedding package and then adding on the things that I want. I also want a photographer. Who are you using? Arely sent me information about the resort photographer Micheal. I have heard mixed reviews about it. Some peopple loved him and some people hated his work.  Are you going to do any extra flowers?  I would like my bridesmaids to have flowers but Im not sure which company I would want to use or go through the resort. There are so many decisions to make!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
