Hi to all!! My name is Dana and my future hubby's name is Blaine hence the Blana!! We just got engaged this past Sunday and are soo excited to finally start planning the destination wedding we always talked about. We have a pretty interesting story...We met back in the early 80s when we were merely 5 years old through the military and our parents who were best friends. After a year or so we moved apart from each other b/c well thats what the military does and then 18 years later my dad and I were searching for people online and up pops Blaine in the same city as us. We stayed in touch became friends then slowly started dating...fast forward 2 and a 1/2 years and we just bought our 1st condo in the heart of downtown Dallas and have a beautiful daughter who will be 2 in August. So, it comes as no surprise that we should get married and obviously we aren't very conventional therefore Destination Wedding it is. Now if only I could narrow it down to 1 location!!

Hey Me and Mine are military babys too

 

We where in high school togeher because our dads where both stationed in the same place for some time, but the twist with us is we both joined the military and found each other about 6 years later on Facebook and after one visit we knew we found our other half low and behold 5 months later we where engaged and though we have had a long engagment in 4 months we will finaly be together forever or together threw deployments hahahaha

Congrats Dana on your very recent engagement! You must be on cloud nine! Selecting your destination can be one of the hardest decisions. There are too many beautiful places to choose from. You'll find lots of great ideas and sources to help with your wedding plans. Best of luck and please let any of us know how we can help.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
