What are you getting waxed?

Kristy!

So I was looking at my salon's website to see if there were any waxing packages or specials going on when I realized, I am getting a ton of waxing done. Eek! I'll be away for 3 weeks and I just don't want to bother with shaving during that time, but I think I'm going to come out of the salon looking like a pink blotchy monster! Gotta love that fair skin.

Here's what I'm getting done:

Brazilian wax

Full legs

Eyebrows

Upper lip

Under arms

Anyone else going wax-crazy?

Hey Kristy -

I'm actually an aesthetician aka a waxer. I regularly wax all those areas you're having done as well as my arms. Take a few ibuprofen 30 mins before your treatment and bring a razor with you on your trip just in case. It's normal to have some of the hairs break, especially if its your first time, and those will pop back out within the 3 weeks. It may not be the most relaxing way to spend an hour, but you'll feel like a new woman walking out the door!

I think I'm getting a bikini wax, my eye brows, and mayb my under arms...I don't have any hair on my legs..lol What the difference between a bikini wax and a brazilian wax? Is it ok to get them done 3 weeks apart. I want to do BD pics for my FI in June and then in the wedding is July 25, but i dont want to get irritated down there..hehe...

I went wax crazy before my wedding too!!! I had my eyebrows, arms, brazilian, and full leg done. I've done my underarms in the past and honestly they are more painful than getting a brazilian!! But only the first time, after that it wasn't so bad. I choose to shave them b/c I was wearing sleeveless tops at the gym and couldn't let the hair grow out long enough.

It was so worth it to be hair-free for the wedding! I did have to shave my legs during the second week b/c I did have a few spots that needed it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
