Where are you getting married in PV?

Recommended Posts

Tam 118: Casa Salamandra is so beautiful. I was thinking of getting married there but it ended up being out of my budget..so I am getting married at Casa China Blanca in Punta Mita. Are you using Dazzling details?

Hi Sandy,

I wish I went to go see Casa China Blanca, it also looks amazing! How far is it from Nuevo? Casa Salamandra is very expensive and they really restrict what you can and can't use. I didnt realize all of this until after we put down a deposit. Seems crazy to be so picky when the price is more than double what the other villas charge. Either way, its the location we wanted and it really is a unique venue. I am not using DD, they had already booked up 2009, and they recommended Tamara and Lucie from Incredible Weddings. They have been amazing so far. How about you?

It's about 20 minutes from Nuevo...my FI is going to vallarta tomorrow and is going to take lots of pics of the villa..I can't wait to see them as I booked sight unseen. Yes, I am using DD..they are awesome..when is your wedding? If you go on the DD website or on KLK photography's website, they have some pics of weddings at Casa Salamandra..which are so beautiful! You must be so excited! There are restrictions at china blanca too - no more noise at all after midnight..so the party has to end early. Just make sure they don't charge you extra for a generator..that was an additional "hidden" cost when I was considering salamandra... but it is sooooo pretty!

I'm sure you're super excited to see the pictures and here all about the villa from your FI! It definately helps to have someone actually see the place before you're there for your wedding! Funny you mention the generator...we only found out about the after we put our deposit down...is this something that should be included?? Its like $700 USD! I was pretty surprised!

Puerto del Cielo is technically not a church or a chapel, more like an event space designed to look like a chapel. We wanted a "church-like" ceremony without it being about any particular religion.

It is a beautiful space!! The hotel/hacienda is spectacular, too! Let me know if you have any questions!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
