Hello ladies!!!! So, I went to my first fitting this past Saturday and I was SO psyched to see my dress after so long ... of course, there are pics ... but there are also a few issues with the dress and I'm a bit worried now.

The seamstress did an AWESOME job removing the lining from the train so it's all lace (as you'll see from the pics) but she made the top of the dress (the outermost hem above my boobs) smaller, but didn't bring anything else in (there's a ribbon of beading right under the boobs) so the ribbon is popping out ... like, sticking off under my arms.

Now, along with that, it's also very snug around my ribcage area. So, she has to take it out a smidgen ...

But it's weird because she'll have to tighten the just-under-the-boobs part, but loosen the material RIGHT under that if that makes ANY sense. There's plenty of play in the lace, it's just the lining that's "smallish." I'll admit, I am a bit worried about the outcome and I don't have a lot of time to mess around ...

My MOH completely forgot to take a shot of the front of my dress (sorry!) but I'm going back in 2 weeks to see if she understood what I was complaining about with the ribbon puffing out and the ribcage being too tight ...

And I would apologize for my bad makeup, but apparently I was an expert at hiding my face too. LOL

Yes, I'm a bit short ... LOL this picture makes me look like a kid trying on a wedding dress... so brutal!

She wanted to try and put the lining up when the train was bustled, but I stopped that idea right in it's tracks, it was too poofy! So, with my heeled shoes on, she realized she just has to raise the lace and it will still cover the lining without a problem. :) Yay!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
