Calling all Ocean Sand/Ocean Blue ~ Brides ~

Recommended Posts

Hi Ladies,

I was supposed to get married at Grand Palladium in Mayan Riviera, due to the swine flu all flights from Canada to Mexico have been cancelled. I now have a couple of weeks (wedding date June 3rd) to plan a new wedding in Punta Cana.

I am trying to decide between Grand Palladium & Ocean Sand. Any advise? tips? I dont know which to pick. I cant seem to find any wedding paclages for Ocean Sand. can any one send it to me?

I am so stressed out, I have been planning my Mexico wedding for a year and now 4 weeks before we go I have to start over in a new country!!!!

Michelle are you on Facebook? Look up the ocean blue group, and track down Julissa. She's the wedding coordinator. I'm sure she'll send you all you need :) :)

I didn't book any music during the ceremony. I brought my ipod/speakers and had a selection playing. Truth be told, my guests thought the music was nice but I didn't hear a thing outside Julissa saying the vows and Chris repeating them :)

I'm leaving for Ocean Sand/Blue in 2 days!! smile29.gif

Just a quick question for Debs and any other previous Ocean Sand/Blue Brides out there...

When it came time to pay for the wedding, did the resort accept credit card?? I tried to get a final amount of what we owe from Ada, I believe she replaced Julissa, and she is kind of avoiding giving us a total. It's more like, wait until you get here and we can discuss, but that makes it difficult for me to do Travellers' cheques or money orders without amounts!! Did they accept credit card or personal cheques? So this way we don't have to travel with cash.

Any info is appreciated!! smile03.gif

Hi Debs! Thanks so much for the review!! If you were happy with your photograoher, do you mind fwd his contact info to me? I see that in the Free wedding included in Oceans Blue that the photography isn't included, which is probably best because I'm not sure about the quality of the photographers.

Thanks!!

I just came back from an 8day vacation at the Ocean Blue in DR this past January with my FH. He booked it as an engagement present. If you have any questions, please let me know. We saw several weddings performed on the beach whle we were there. Beware though, there is a very strong timeshare pitch at this resort that gets annoying after awhile. Good Luck and Congrats.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
