Dana, I am so sorry that you are not getting along with your sister right now...hope you will resolve your differences soon...

I found that sometimes when big events like weddings happen family can be some how annoyingly difficult about everything lol :D but if this is the case for you too, just hold on there girl, I am sure your sister will realize very soon that it is YOUR day at the end and she just needs to be there for you!

And if you need to vent a little we are here to listen, cos i am sure many brides had little "issues" with family while planing their big days..lol :D

xoxo

Oh really! that's great...Maybe we can share some ideas :) I love the colors I picked they go well with my style and my FI is in agreement too.  It took us a while because I started off with Watermelon but then ended up with coral and gold.  Anyway, I am happy with my choice. Let the planning begin!

Nemo - I have an "organization" binder too because I am a bit of a planning freak!  As for getting vases...did you check with your friend in the Dominican Republic?  It might be easier if they know of a place you could pick some up down there...I know La Romana has big Jumbo stores that have all kinds of stuff in them and you would probably find vases there if you have time to take the trip to La Romana from the resort between your arrival and the wedding.  Also jenngene has already asked a friend of hers who lives down there about getting vases and other things like that so maybe she will find out and post with some tips!

Love all three of your dresses ladies!  I am deciding between 2 so hopefully I can get some pics and you guys can help me decide!

Oh...I have a photographer question!

I am trying to decide whether to hire an outside photographer - we are getting the Ultimate Package but I have been in touch with the DLR photographer and it is $15 per picture for every extra photo you want! AHHH.  So I'm assuming that getting the CD/DVD of all the photos will cost an arm and a leg.  Has anyone purchased the CD of photos and if so, how much did it cost?

For those of you who are going with outside photographers...how much is it costing and do you have to pay for their travel to DLR from Punta Cana or has someone found photogs in the area?  I have read a lot about HDC and was thinking of them, but I don't want to get ahead of myself budgetwise!

Any info/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Oh Chanelo your wedding is almost month before mine!!! :D we arrive to Dreams 29th February and our big day is on 6th March :D

I just received email from Yanna, lady that works with Tiara, so they are all there but I am sure it got a little busy for them as Tiara is now 8months pregnant and wasn't feeling too well...

Maybe try emailing her again, with URGENT in email header it seemed to work for other brides on here before lol :D...all I know that it is very important to have your wedding day confirmed and maybe this way you will know for sure that it is on 11th February lol :D

xoxo

That's a great idea going to Jumbo store in LaRomana...really hope jenngene will come back to us with findings of her friend in Dominican...cos it would be so easy just have a day trip there pick all little bits and peaces and that's it lol...not carrying it all the way down there!!!:/

Oh Kelsie I have emailed you with latest HDC price list and packages etc. hope it will help you to decide...:)) If anyone else needs it too just pm me with your email address and I will send it over as well :)))

(sorry girls for 3 posts in the row....lol)

xoxo

I have heard TERRIBLE things about the onsite photographer. Not about the quality of their pictures but the way they try to upsell  You are paying an arm and a leg for anything.  I am paying for HDC to come onsite and it is 65$ day pass. If you mention it to Tiara or Yianna they can put it in your quote.

If anything i'velearned planning a destination wedding, its the fact that you will never please everyone. My sister and I have a huge age difference (i'm 8 years older) She's basically shooting herself in the foot, because everyone is seeing a very ugly side to her.  She selfish and jealous, and as the wedding approaches and everyone is excited, the more miserable she becomes. She didn't even come to my bridal shower. She gave an excuse that she needed to work (which is fine) except she was caught not working by a mutual family friend. ANYWAY... its my day and I won't let it all bother me. Its childish jealousy and everyone else is determined to keep her in check...  LOL. I'm not letting it all bother me, nothings raining on my parade.

Due to weather (IT SNOWED AGAIN) i didn't get my delivery of flowers, hopefully I get them today (FI is at home) but now we have freezing rain... can't WAIT for the beach~

thanks for listenting~

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
