Thank you Dana for sharing all your pics with us!!!

 

I will add my date to the list when I get confirmation from Tiara...I'm waiting patiently as I have heard this part can take awhile. 

 

 

 

I made friends with a lady named Denise Heger on Facebook, she is a local of Bayahibe in Dominican Republic.  She posts the weather report almost everyday and takes pics of the sunrises and sunsets.  She can answer a lot of questions about the area and is a big fan of Dreams resorts...she also is a destination expert on Trip Advisor.  I highly recommend "friending" her, she is SO helpful with any questions you might have!!

That contact sounds very cool :) Thanks!  I do have pictures of the hairstyles but can't find it for some reason.

we're having a legal ceremony, the services of a minister are included, but was just wondering who it might be!? glad you had a good experience at the spa, did you do a trial beforehand or just take the plunge on the day? (ps your hair and makeup looked amazing so i guess i will try for maria :))

 

hope all goes well with your party this weekend, are you wearing your dress again? how exciting!!!

 

also Dana...thank you for sharing those pictures, got lots of new idea's now!!!

I talked briefly with Elke when I went to get my hair done at the spa and she speaks really good english,  fyi.

hustyg, what kind of ceremony are you having? Also, I did go to the spa and I had Maria do my hair and makeup and nails- as well as hair and nails of my MOH's and she did an amazing job. I was nervous from past reviews of girls on here but everything turned out great:)

If you are talking about the photos you receive from the resort's wedding package then yes, they are only during the ceremony. If you purchase an HDC package, it depends on which one you choose as to how long they will stay.

Dana...thank you for the Spa info....but I have a question for past brides....I see they have french manicures at the spa, but does anyone know if they are the acrylic/gel type of nails? As in, fake ones? Thats what Im looking for.

I could do it in Canada, but the only day I have time would be Saturday...and my wedding is all the way on Friday which means my nails will start growing by then and you can see it at the root :(

 

If anyone has info, please let me know

 

Otherwise....I AM STRESSING with last minute details...

Thanks Dana for posting all that wonderful information.

 

Uninspired - I chose the Seaside Grill for many of the same reasons as Dana.  We are expecting around 100 people and my FH and I did not want to pay per person when the meal was already included in the price of the hotel.  I also chose it because I loved the idea of having the reception on the deck and the pictures of the deck looked so beautiful.  We are also bringing down a Bose system and this is permitted at the Seaside Grill.  We will have the entire restaurant to ourselves so we don't have to worry about disturbing anyone.

Hey girls, i have been slowing figuring out some of the new features on the forum and learned how to tag thread so i thought it would be a great help to all of you future brides, since all new wedding review will be under the resort section of the forum, so i tagged all the wedding reviews that were in the wedding review thread and you can now see them on the right hand side of this page under the "Related Forum Threads"  I know there are also a bunch of reviews within this thread but not sure how to do that one.

I would double check on the fee of the minster cause if you look at the packages (at least what i remember from the ones I had) it says at the bottom its a $300 fee for the judge to legally marry you.

I got a free hair trial two days before the wedding, when you go to book it they should mention it to you and book directly with the spa.

As for the nails, i didnt get them done but i doubt they have acrylic/gels.  I got gel nails done before i left.

dolfin luck, my MOH is also getting the gel nails dine! She said it's better as it won't damage your nails as much. Do you know if they would last longer than acrylic nails?

 

 

Also, I'm having both photography and videography (HDC).. Do you guys know if I have to pay for two daypasses??

I was told by Tiara that I had to pay for a day pass for the photographer. So i'm guessing you will have to do so for both. Its 65$ each. I'm only having pictures done by HDC. Oh i'm so excited for you.

 

Gel nails are "better" for your nails... usually have a more natural look.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners.
