Nancy, Dolfinluck,

Thanks for the input/info... Nancy, it definitely doesn't make sense to me logically, but I also want to make sure my guests have a good time.... I guess I might have to bite the bullet and do it!

Hey ladies,

I don't recall an extra 26% on top of the $1000 to use the SSG. Where did you get the extra from. I'm going to look back on my emails with Tiara but if you're just eating from the SSG menu, I believe it's just $1000.

Does anyone know where the extra 26% came from (sorry, if it's already been discussed in previous pages ... this thread is getting reaaaaalllllyyyyy long)

She definitely quoted the price to me with the tax. Here is her email:

Subject: RE: Wedding Questions

Dear Jennifer:

I hope this email finds you well. I would like to confirm you the wedding gazebo for your wedding ceremony. The exclusivity of any of the restaurants will be USD 1,000 + 26%, and will be close only of your guests. You can book the DJ services for your wedding reception, that will cost you USD 250.00 (up to 4 hours)

Best regards,

I was quoted the same $1000.00 + 26%. The good part of booking the entire restaurant is to have the dance. I am not booking a dj as I would rather spend the 250.00 on a good bose ipod dock and bring with me. We are allowed to hook that up and then have total control over music. We only have the restaurant until 11 so I didn't think hiring a dj for a few hours was justified on my budget. This way, when we have our backyard reception this summer we can use the ipod dock for that also.
My daughter is working on the songlist already, so looks like I have my own personal dj.

Hope this helped. Happy planning : )

That is how I understood it as well. You choose one meal for everyone.

That's what I thought... I hate choosing for everyone. I have some picky eaters coming. Oh well, if they don't like it, they can always stop off at the buffet. It's getting so close now. I hope I haven't forgotten anything.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
