Noemi your toast glasses are fab! love them. I'll be checking out that website :) Amurka pm me your address and I will post them to you tomorrow! I originally had them done in blue (ocean background) but I got new ones in coral recently so you can have all the blue ones if they would go better with your colour scheme? either colour I have tons to spare :) xxx

Hi ladies! My wedding is tomorrow and I'm so excited. I was really nervous before I got here because I'm super controlling when it comes to the details of the wedding (made my own cupcake tower and had my MIL make my table toppers, etc.). But after being here a day before meeting with Jenny (who is truly a doll & LOVES what she does) & hearing from all of my guests what a fabulous time they are having, I've totally relaxed and truly feel like even if everything turned out nothing like what I envisioned or if none of my decorations are even used, it would still be beautiful! This place is AH-MAZE-ING! The food is fine but the ambiance and the customer service are spot on! It has finally sunk in that being in this beautiful tropical place with my amazing friends & family that sent their vacation time & $$$ to be here for & with me, I really couldn't ask for anything more : ) I've been there so I knowing hearing "relax, everything will be wonderful" doesn't necessarily make things better at the planning stage, but I think hearing it from one more girl that's been there helps, so Relax, everything will be wonderful : ) So far my only suggestion is, for those that haven't booked flights yet, 1st choice - La Romana airport, 2nd - Punta Cana, last resort - Santo Domingo. We flew into Punta Cana - so cool! Thatched hut roofs, live musicians, cool breeze. La Romana is like 20 minutes away, compared to the hour & 45 minutes from Punta Cana. Our guests that flew into Santo Domingo said the drive was awful! The surroundings were scary & uncomfortable (& these friends are not prudes, they've traveled all over Asia & the Caribbean, etc.) I'm sending zen thought to all you planners out there because I've been there. None of you have made the wrong choice : ) Hugs, Emma

Hello ladies! Quickly (I'll try to write a detailed review this weekend when I get home) but Jenny rocks! She bent over backwards to give me a wedding beyond what I even imagined! Breath taking! I cried three times, once at the ceremony when I walked around the corner and saw everyone & the decorations; once when I looked up & saw my hubby holding back tears; & once during the circus show when I realized how freaking lucky I was to be with these amazing people and having this amazing experience. If you guys want entertainment, and can swing the $2,000 for the show, I HIGHLY recommend it. The show was worth more than the $2,000 we paid for it! It was unbelievable! I'll try to post pictures and do a mire thorough review when I'm home. I hope everyone has a wedding as spectacular as mine was! Besos, Emma

Noemi hi girl :)))x

Your toast glasses are fantastic, I love them!!! :)))

And well done for hiring wedding planner too, if i was to have my wedding in the UK, I would have definitely hired one too, just because there is sooooo much to plan and at the same time you do want to actually enjoy it all as a bride....not run around like crazy all the time :))) so well done hon:))

My planning as I mentioned lol is very slow lol :D still cant put my ass into gear after my birthday and Easter break lol :D but i have promised myself i will do some planing this week :))) maybe even OOT bags, thanks to chanelo's advice :D but i will keep you all up to date and will post any pictures if I will have progress :))

Haven't been in touch with Dreams for months now as well lol, hope they haven't forgot about me lol :D oh and we will be paying deposit to HDC in a couple of weeks, so this will be sorted and something to cross off the list yay :D

I'm doing well. Wedding planning is hard lol i've been so busy setting up appointment with vendors and going to brideal shows and such.

I still haven't gottent he bridesmaid dresses but I am going with the girls at the end of next month to pick them out.  It's slow planning but I am getting there.  I am hiring a wedding planner because I can't do all of this by myself.

Thank you for the compliments on the reception hall.  I love places that look like they were pulled from a book haha.  my invites aren't going to come until like February because I am going to the Dominican Republic to pick them up myself so they don't get messed up during transit.

How is ur planning? Dreams gave me back my deposit, well sort of, I had to file a claim with my bank because the funds had not been returned to my account. But dreams sent me the confirmation they did it and everything was sorted out with my bank. I am excited for all DLR brides!!!!

I recently found my toasting glasses and cake server set.  My sister bought them for me as a gift :)  I got them from thingsremembered.com and I love how they look. We just ordered them toay and I engraved them with the quote "Our toast to love" along with our names and date.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
