1st off, welcome to all of the newbies...there were a flurry of you that joined so I won't sort your names out just yet.

Emma, to answer your question re: the tables, I don't have the exact dimensions but I can tell you that they are VERY large and seat 10 people comfortably. My advice would be that even if the table cloth you purchase is not long enough, you can still drape it over the existing white cloth that they have. This way you still have one that goes to the ground and you don't have to carry the extra weight of larger linens cheer2.gif

Hi there - Bridget hasn't been on the forum in a while so I'm not sure that you'll hear back from her. I can tell you that she went with DJ Mannia who is a vendor on this site. She had nothing but great things to say about him and his service. He is located in Punta Cana but will come to DLR at the cost of around $900-$1000 depending on if you need him for the ceremony.

Some brides on here went with the resort DJ so you can ask for their opinion. I REALLY wanted to go with DJ Mannia but unfortunately it was out of our budget and the FI wouldn't BUDGE!!

thanks in advance.
Hi dcairns,
Welcome to the forum. I'm so sorry, the document was a bunch of photos of the SSG and I can't seem to find it anymore. I'm certain there are more photos around this thread but I know the search is going to be exhaustive. I think I also did a google images search for Dreams la Romana Seaside Grill and found photos on the web too.

Good luck with anything and if you want any other photos - I have photos of flowers and cakes, let me know!

Hey ladies,

I've decided to change our reception to the beach from the SSG. I'll be saving a few hundred dollars and right now everything helps, right? Only thing is, Yanna is quoting me $8 plus 26% for the open bar per person. I seem to recall other people mentioning a lower price.

Can anyone confirm this or let me know what they were quoted for the bar?

Thanks

Andrea

I paid $3 plus the 25% for the open bar per person for the beach reception. Would def double check on that.

Hey Heather, do you have any emails from Yanna or Tiara conirming the 3$ price. Did they give you a discount because you had a lot of people? I will have 23 people.

If you have any paperwork that has the $3 on it, I would really, really appreciate it if you could email it to me: hookdup@hotmail.com.

BTW, your gorgeous photos were a huge deciding factor in going with a beach reception. Did they already have the trees lit up like that?

Hi Vero:

I know this thread is REALLY long, but if you take a few days and go through them with a notebook you'll get a tonne of questions answered including your current one!

I'll save you the searching this time around -- SSG rental is $1000 + 26% tax & gratuity. The menu is whatever is offered on the SSG current menu (which changes every 2-3 months)

Hope this answers your questions...happy reading :)

Sadly no I dont have an email with the info, cant remember who but someone posted it a couple of weeks before my wedding the price when they got it from Tiara. When I had my meeting, Tiara mentioned the extra $3 charge. The only proof I have is my receipt, I could look for it and scan it for you if you think that will help. They didnt give me a discount cause I only had 14 ppl.

Thanks so much, I love how the pro pics of the reception looked. I brought down the rope lights and they just hung them up.

Ok...I am now TOTALLY confused!!!! lol smile41.gif

I thought that if youre having the reception at the SSG deck, it ONLY costs per person depending on the menu you choose which is either $30 USD per person +10% service +16% Tax for the silver and $35 USD per person + 10% service + 16% Tax for the goldhuh.gif??

OR are you referring to renting the SSG restaurant (not deck) which costs $1000 +26% etc?

I am having a free wedding package if that matter....

OMG please clarify this for me anyone LOL
I e-mailed Tiara but shes probably busy.

Thanks Ladies
xoxo

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
