Lizzy, meeting you is going to make me life so much easier. I will have to get you a "post-wedding" drink ... or 2.
I believe they will section off a place for you at one restaurants, usually to the side, and Tiara will still set it up for you how ever you like, even a cake table. The only thing is then you cant have you our music, i was planning on bring a bose ipod portable dock to play music, hopefully they have something playing over the pa or even musicians walking around playing.

Looking back at info, it looks like over 10 ppl is considered a group and you would have to pay for every person over 10. I found it really helpful to look at the dreams tulum thread as they have so much info and laid out so well.

I just checked out the Dreams Tulum site and was overwhelmed. 102 pages. Wow.

One thing I noticed (before I had to stop from information overload) is that they had fees listed for table linens, coloured napkins, etc.

Has Tiara given anyone a fee for this?

I have just emailed her to ask her if there is an extra charge to set up the tables nicely if you are just ordering from the Seaside Grill menu at a cost of $15 pp.

Stay tuned for her answer.

I am planning on having a beach reception and I haven't received a straight answer from Tiara about the dinner. I have asked a few times if I can have the silver menu and her response is always sending me menus. So I am just assuming that it is ok and a go.

I am not sure what to do about chairs for the ceremony and reception. Does anyone have any pictures of the white folding ones and/or know if the charge for the chairs includes both the ceremony and reception?

Cheers!

Pictures of the area where they have the beach ceremony would be greatly appreciated! Tiara only has 1, and it is not a very good picture.

I hope you have a great time there!

Nicole, I do have all of the menus that are available. I am just curious about the buffet for the beach reception because Tiara hasn't mentioned it to me once. Thanks for your help.

Heres what we recieved from Tiara.

"A beach reception will cost you extra. You will have to pay extra the cost of the menu.

Enclosed you will find the buffet menus that we offer."

So I am assuming that buffet was it cause that is all she sent us. Maybe it's a question we have to ask.... But the buffet menus look really good.

I do like the look of the buffet menu, it is just more money than the Silver menu and I think I would prefer to have our dinner served to us.

This is part of an email between Tiara and I:
"If I qualify for the free wedding, would the cost of the dinner plates be the cost that is listed on the Silver and Gold menus that you provided me with ($30 per person for the Silver menu and $35 per person for the gold menu)? Is the only qualification for the free wedding, having 5 rooms booked?

Yes, also enclosed you will find the other menus options."

The other menu options that she included was the entire buffet/conference menus. From her response, I was confused because I am not sure what question the yes answer was for; and that is why I just assumed the silver menu is ok to have.

Yeah it's very confusing the way she answers questions but I am sure she is very busy. Guess just have to ask specically what menu options are there for the beach reception. Let me know if yuo get an answer. I will also ask once I get a response from my last email.

It would be great if you could get pics of the different locations for an outside reception, either private or in one of the restaurants. Also could you take some pictures of the bars, I'm thinking instead of doing a cocktail hour, just tell everyone to meet at one of the bars to save money.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
