The buffet menu looks pretty good though. If you want I can send you a copy and it would be in the same price range as a silver menu I think. From the sounds of it you also get a bar becuase theres a 3$ pp charge for booze/drinks so that is something else I am going to have to ask her. What that 3 dollar charge includes.

Nicole can you also send me the buffet menu? andreac@ctv.ca

I also have been trying to get in touch with Tiara. She emailed me last Sunday and I have sent her 3 emails since then because I need to change the date of the wedding (I haven't officially booked it yet and now we're going with a different carrier that leaves on a different day).

I haven't heard anything and I'm panicking a little. I don't want to book the flights if I don't hear from Tiara that she has availability for my wedding.

I also bought a calling card and have been calling her extension but it always says no one is available to pick up.

Did you try putting URGENT or RESPONSE NEEDED in your subject line? I had the exact same situation and that seemed to work with her.
We all just have to make sure not to overuse it wink.gif

Yeah, my last email had "Urgent" in the subject line. I hope she's not tired of me. I have been waiting to book the date because I had to wait for confirmation from family overseas. I just hope I haven't screwed myself.

Also, Nicole, I also told Arnaud that I will be using him after your recommendations.

TIARA'S BACK!!!!

I just got an email saying she was out of the office for a week ... you'd think there would be an auto-response or something, but I keep forgetting that it's a different culture and way of life there.

Anyway, looks like I'm getting married July 14!

YAY

Ladies, what time are you getting married (ceremony)? I am thinking around 5 p.m. so it's not too hot.

I looked up the sunset times for that time of year and sunset is scheduled for 7:20 so that gives us a bit of time for photos?

What time are the rest of you thinking?

Woohoo! Congrats, Andrea!

I tried to book mine for 4pm but Tiara put it for 4:30pm, so I'm not sure if they already have 'set' times.

I've also heard that things tend to get started on 'Dominican Time' so I'm expecting it to probably not start until 5pm or so.

I don't want it to go any later for fear of losing light during the picture time!

Congrats on getting it booked. When are you arriving? I have opted for 5pm as I want photos of sunset in background too. I go home on the 14th so I'll be picked up from hotel at lunchtime, but I'll see you there :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
