If you want to avoid the luggage fee....if you have bridesmaids or groomsmen...you can have them carry that stuff for you. You guys can get together the day or so before to help you prepare before everyone else gets there...my girls are carrying the favors..and other stuff for me...you can also fly an airline that gives you the first bag for free that way you're not spending THAT much on fees...

We're planning on flying Southwest so we get 4 bags free and then we're going to buy some luggage from goodwill and use that to pack our extra decoration and welcome bag stuff, and then just leave it in the DR so we don't have to pay for it on the way back. I think my FI and I can get our clothes and personal items in 2 suitcases so that gives us 4 suitcases for miscellaneous items.

@@Mandiesue preferred club was much nicer and they catered to you more, but the only thing we really used was there free wifi. We never used their pool because we were always at the swim up bar, we bought our ipad so we didnt need their computer. The premium liquor is at the main lobby bar as well you just have to ask for it...I would get it again since we had a very nice suite and it was our honeymoon but I wouldn't recommend guests get it. As far as airfare if you fly airtran, which is what I did, if you have any flights operated by southwest in your itinerary your bags fly free to and from. That was 2 free bags and my aunt flew out with us and packed light so she was able to take 2 of our bags with wedding stuff centerpieces etc...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
