@@Ariana2015 dress shopping is so fun, but I went so many places I got sick of it...lol the group managers name is Shirley Sanchez and she had been really efficient especially with returning emails, so im not sure whats going on because I spoke with her about a week ago. I can say the whole complimentary room situation is a mess! You are supposed to get a the 6th room free when you book six rooms, but the wording is weird where you dont know that they group all of your rooms together at the end and give you the lowest room class at the lowest rate. It took several emails and phone calls to get mones straight and it still dodnt turn ouy exactlh how I wanted it. I had my guests booking since last september so almost a year. @@strwbsprkl do whatever you and your fiance want, I hate to say it but no one else matter, its your wedding. Trust me everyone will have an opinion but you dont have to do what they say. Wedding planning is stressful, so dont let them stress you out anymore. Remember its your day, your dream your vision. Have fun and do what you want!

Hi ladies! We finally decided on Dreams La Romana for our wedding!!! We'd like to get married August 1st, 2015 but are waiting on confirmation that it's available. Any advice you all can give to a bride just starting planning would be appreciated!  :)

@@Nursejazz since September? Now I'm so worried! I was going to use a travel agent to help everyone get accommodated but they seem to not be helpful either. I'll call Shirley today and see what they're willing to work out. Currently the rooms the I see are $300 a night for the time of the wedding and I hope they're willing to work on a better price.

Im struggling with flights and vacation packages for 2015. We went with Apple Vacations because we have used them before and had great service. They have a nonstop flight from our airport but they arent available to book yet. Its really frustrating because we were hoping to have all that information to go into our wedding invitations and so if people called us we could give them an idea of the cost. Airfare is being more frustrating than dealing with the wedding venue.

@@Mandiesue hmm I might contact them to help me then. I contacted them in the beginning but was a little skeptical when they asked for a deposit and then some reviews were negative so I wasn't sure.

What are you ladies doing about photos? I chose the ultimate package and it includes 50 photos and a video of the ceremony. I thought that would be enough, but it seems like a lot of brides buy the packages from tropical studios or hire another photographer and that can get very pricey.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
