What should I do????  I have contacted the concerige and she said she was forwarding all the e-mails to Yanna.....

Hi Jessmaine,

That is really crazy!! Most likely if your sister did the deposit it was to reserve that particular date. How long has it been since you have emailed? Hopefully you get some contact soon to get info on the times of the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception!! Keep us updated!!

That's great; thanks for the help. What vege options were available, as 5 members of my group are vegetarian. x

Aaaaaaaaah! *frantic arm flailing*

No contact from Jenny since we sent the wedding questionnaire a month ago. We wouldn't have even had the questionnaire except I asked for it. No quotes, no confirmation of reception or ceremony location, no confirmation on ANYTHING. We leave in 3 days!

When I tried calling, someone spoke very rapid Spanish, then hung up. Called again and they just kept saying "hola hola?" and hung up. Called again, they heard me say Jenny, sent me to a voice mail with a different extention than in the email.

I have emailed the Dreams resort itself, and the AM Resort umbrella.

No idea what to do. We have only the slightest idea of how much this wedding is going to cost, and no clue if our location choices are even available. I am worried that I am going to get there and they won't even have a record of us. My travel agent isn't a wedding coordinator, so she hasn't had any contact with the resort other than to book the rooms.

Advice? Tips? Reassurances? A blanket I can hide under until all of this is over?

I thought it was just me! been trying to reach Yanna/Jenny for a few weeks now, to no avail.  Reading past posts tho has reassured me that this is typical for them, and all will be fine. You put your deposit down right?  I say keep trying.  I'm going to call a few times today.  If I get through, I'll be sure to post and let you know.

ps I have no clue how much this wedding is going to cost neither!!

We mentioned this to our travel agent, and she got through to them right away. This morning we finally got a quote! For the wrong wedding. All of the details were wrong, the names were wrong, and the wait continues. We fly out on Monday. Small panic.

I read the experiences from other ladies and they reassure me that somehow things will sort out and the day itself will be wonderful. Just the details to figure out.

Not impressed we still haven't solidified anything.

Ladies, use your travel agents as go betweens! They seem to get better results. fryingpan.gif

As the vegetarian option? My family are full vegetarian, not pescetarian so this wouldn't be ideal huh.gif

Thanks for your help though, I'll contact the resort nearer the time.

kkimi, I do not have an answer about exactly what veg options are available, but I did ask Jenny before we booked if we could have a vegetarian menu. She said yes! So I figured we would wait and see what the options are but at least I know they will offer veg. I still don't understand if the bride/groom choose one option for everyone or guests get a choice... if anyone could clear that up I would appreciate it!

Hi

We choose the silver menu (the less expensive menu). We chose several appetizers for the cocktail hour. For the dinner at the reception we chose 1 soup, 1 appetizer, 1 main, 1 dessert for all guests. The dreams brochure says that you get the same for the more expensive gold menu, but differet (i.e. more expensive) food options.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
