Hey Kkimi88: I'm in the same boat as you!

Initially I sent the contract for my date on 04.13.12, then finally on 05.10.12 received an email from Yanna saying that I forgot my CC and DL copies. Sent that info on 05.10.12, now we are on 05.22.12 and still haven't received a confirmation or had my CC charged. crybaby2.gif

Hi all,

I wonder if anyone can help me!!

I'm due to get married at Dreams in just over 4 months and just wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction of where I go with sorting out all the legal side of the wedding.

I have spoken with a company that do an all in package but this was alot more than I was expecting to pay so was looking a doing all the legals myself but don't really know where to start with this. Any help from previous brides that has done this themselves would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Gemma

Yay!!! cheer2.gif I got my confirmation agreement yesterday! We are scheduled! 12.12.12 for sure!

Planning is going well. We expected about 20 people and we are at 21 right now (including Bride & Groom). Got most of the decor and stuff for the wedding. I'm running out of planning to do and still have six months! Passport invites are next!

Question! We booked HDC for photos. Is it tradition or a best gesture to feed the photographer? Or is that something normally that doesn't happen?

Thanks guys! Hope everyones planning is going well! Adesir8-We are still waiting on your pix :)

as a photographer, it is in my contract to receive a meal if working more than 7 hours, and even if not working 7 hours, it is a good gesture since they will be working and sweating their butts off.  if you were working all day (in the sun and heat) I'm sure you would need and expect to sit down for a break and have a meal. So many times people forget that the photographers are people too! ;)

Hope you're well

lol no flowers/no centerpieces yet. Funny, but for some reason that hasn't been bothering me as much. I think it's because Yanna showed me options when i was there, and everything was so beautiful...so i know whatever we decide on will look gorgeous. Planning's going well. My biggest worry now is guest list...and who's actually going to end up coming.  One of my good friends just let me know that he wouldn't be able to come and it totally blew my mind. I actually cried. I rather some other folks say "i can't come" than the folks i really want there ya know! (that sounds sooooo horrible!)

hello to all the future brides, this site has been such an amazing source of information! i am in the beginning stages of wedding planning (date is set for August 22, 2013) and my fiancee and I initially thought we would be having our wedding in Nassau Bahamas. We did all our research (and by we I mean me ;) and got in contact with an amazing wedding coordinator who put together this great package. We found out that many things out there, including food and drinks, are sooooo expensive. After talking to a few people we decided it wouldn't hurt to research Punta Cana and I'm so glad I did! There appears to be tons of resorts and although all this research is overwhelming it's nice to have a lot of different resorts to choose from. It also looks as though we will be getting a lot more for our money, than in Nassau. At this point i am heavily leaning towards having our wedding in punta cana and a lot of it is because of this site.

I am nervous however because I am reading how many future brides appear to have difficulty getting in contact with wedding coordinators and finalizing details. My biggest fear is that things won't get done and my OCD side is having an especially hard time with the response time. It's great to hear that everyone is having a great experience so far, look forward to reading many more posts! Again, congratulations to you all!!! Any advice from those experiencing the same thing would be greatly appreciated thewave.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
