Hi clare-marie, i'm on the Manchester flight April 12th!!! We are getting married on Wed 18th April @ 4pm & also like yourself we've only got a total of 10 ppl ;o) I have had the same concerns about the meal after the ceremony & have opted for the beach location, but have just received an email last night off Jenny saying that the garden gazebo would be better!? The dreams paradise package is the one we have & that has wine & cake for up to 10 ppl which suits us,however I'm not sure about where to have a sit down meal as ideally would like to choose one of the many restaurants after sampling some of the food 1st ;o)  Think i've seen some of your posts on facebook wall so i will try and private msg you on there to...Hope you're not too nervous as we've now got less than a week to go, keep in touch & hopefully will see you at the check in desk at Manchester haha xx

It's been a while since I was on BDW and have finally caught up on the DLR thread! :)

We are booked for DLR Oct 27-3rd with the private beach gazebo wedding onthe 29th! We are doing the Pier cocktail hour and still deciding on the reception resturant and welcome dinner. Flights are booked from 3 different countries (what a headache!). Did anyone else from Canada have to deal with an overnight in Montreal or Toronto????

Happy planning to all the other DLR brides!

Hello there. Not been on here for quite a while, but just caught up on the posts. You will have to send me a friend request on FB. There seems to be quite a few brides flying out on the 12th......we could have a huge pre wedding party on the plane ha ha I've opted for a meal on the beach with the tikki torches.....I didn't realise you could eat in the gazebo! It sounds like a nice idea! I'm getting extremely nervous now. My HTB hasn't been involved in much of the planning as I wanted it all to be a bit of a surprise, so I just hope he likes it. We get married on sat 21 at 5pm. Are you having bridesmaids? X Soccer1615........ How AMAZING! You have done a fantastic job, your guests will LOVE them. Hope everyone's planning is going well. I cannot believe how quickly time has passed.......only a few days until I head down to Manchester! X

@Chanelo - Thank you so much for the chair contact information!  I really hated the idea of those wrapped chairs, but could not rationalize spending over $500 on chairs for our May 19th wedding.  I just gave the name and number to my fiance to pass on to a groomsman who speaks some spanish - enough to make a deal, I hope :)

Your pictures are beautiful.  Thank you and all the ladies who have provided upcoming brides with reviews and pictures.  It really helps to calm my nerves knowing that it does all come together.  I have used so much information from this thread to help with my own plans and I feel prepared knowing ahead of time that there will be an upcharge for our reception at the SSG.  There was no charge when we booked a year ago either.  I am getting stressed with 6 weeks to go and so much seemingly left to pull together.  How were the flowers?  Did you get a chance to meet with the florist or discuss flowers when you got there?  That is one thing I am worried about.  Did you bring your decorations with you or ship them ahead of time?  I am nervous about shipping in advance, but it seems cumbersome to bring stuff with us.  Thank you again and CONGRATULTIONS!!!!!

clare-mare12...Thank you for the kind words...Your very soon!!! How exciting!! I cant believe how fast time flies.  Today is our legal ceremony in the states.  FI grandparents couldnt make the trip so its going to be just the 4 of us today on their 64th anniversary...wow I can only hope to make it as long as they have.  Unfortunetly they are both in the hospital but we are doing it anyway at the hospital.  Should be an interesting night ahead of us :)

Congrats to those of you leaving soon!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
