Just got confirmation from Jenny for 12/8/12!!  I am not new to this site as we were planning a wedding at DLR for this year, but had to postpone for money reasons.  I did do a site-visit in September of this year and looooooved it....even got to see a few weddings while I was there.  Please feel free to ask any questions about the resort etc.  Rest assured that it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, more gorgeous than the pictures portray!!!!  I look forward to planning all our weddings together!!  So excited all of you are on here....it had gotton really really quiet for a few weeks.

@chanelo sweetie thank you so much for your wishes :Dxxx Our engagements happened exactly week apart lol :D Your present is amazing, I am sure your FI will love it and after all after a whole year of sacrifices for the wedding you both deserve a little treat ;))x

My best friend been to Rome just this past summer and she simply loved it! So hope you two will have an amazing time too in there :))

We had a nice romantic dinner last night with my FI and just both could not believe that we got engaged a whole year ago...!! :D First decided not to do any presents for each other, but than (keep in mind we very techy couple) we stumbled across this http://www.jawbone.com/up/product its awesome and we decided we will have his & hers UP wristbands lol :D

 

Also chanelo did dreamsbride2011 sent you her quote? if she didn't let me know I have hers so can re-send it to you if you like?!

 

@katierenae Welcome back hon and congrats again!!! :))xx Hope your planning will go smoothly for you! :)) Thank you so much for sharing your experience on site visit too, as many of us have not been to Dreams before it does definitely put our minds at rest :D

Hi katierenae and congratulations!! My FI and I are planning for December 1, 2012 but have not yet received a confirmation from Yanna. I emailed her on Oct. 2nd then again 2 weeks later.... then again just the other day with "URGENT" in the subject line. I haven't tried calling yet since long distance rates are outrageous, but it's so hard for me to be patient! I'm already sounding like bridezilla lol. How long did it take Jenny to confirm your date? Do you have Jenny's email address so I can try forwarding her my request? I can't wait to officially start planning!

@snakcake hon I really hope that you will hear from Jenny very soon and you will have your date confirmed. Just out of curiosity, have you booked your trip and wedding though Travel Agent or you have done it directly with the hotel? We personally done it through TA, and TA actually helped me a lot chasing up confirmation of our wedding from Dreams :D So if you did book with TA it is worth dropping a quick email or a call and ask them to help you out a little :)) Keep us updated on how things are going, fingers crossed you will be able to start your planning soon!!! :)xoxo

 

Me and my FI had quite a lazy weekend lol :D weather was horrible (proper autumn with drizzle, leafs all over etc. lol :D). but even so, we decided to relax, dress up warm and drive out to the park with our dog :) and even though I quite dislike autumn with its weather we had fantastic time and especially dog did too, when he was diving into mud on every possible occasion :D

Anyway even though I didn't do much planning at all I have found something quite sweet and I had to get it - here in the UK we have a store called The White Company http://www.thewhitecompany.com/ and they have lovely bits and peaces that can even suit wedding (for the girls on here who are from US or Canada this store has international delivery too :))

I found favor boxes (which come already with ribbon) and place card holders (also with good quality cards included):

The place card holders are actually probably the best, as they have little slot for the card to slot into and also they have a little hole where you can put some water and insert a flower of your choice :)))...

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
