I love your dress! Beautiful. Are you going to wear a veil?

Amurka,

Your dress is beautiful!! Mine is more traditional as well =)

I have to find a good picture of the front of mine - I HATE the one on the designer website, it really looks nothing like what the actual dress looks like from the front!

Here is a picture of it from the back - it looks just like this, but in the picture you cant see that there are little rhinestones all over (lining the top of the dress, and over the bodice of it - nothing crazy but its not as plain as it looks in this picture):

Hi Ladies :)))xxx

Chanelo sweetie, every time I read your post I discover some new ideas to borrow lol :D Do you think you could send a link to the eBay seller you used for parasols? I have been thinking about the same, however the ones they sell in the UK are quite expensive and I was a little bit wary to get them from China, because was afraid to be taxed here in the UK some ridiculous amount when they arrive lol :D Do you think you could post a picture of yours as well, to see how they look for real? :)))xxx

also adding flowers to your bridesmaids parasols or corsages will make it look even more amazing :))

Thank you so much hon once again in advance :))

Oh and how long will it take for you to get to DRL from Dublin? Do you have a direct flight or do you have to fly to London airport first? I read post some where someone travelled like that and it took them about 12hours to get there...ouch! Hope your flight is going to be shorter though :) xo

xoxo

I'll try to find a pic of mine and upload it :) Jessica your dress is amazing too!! as for the bridesmaid bouquets - I have decided to have parasols instead of bouquets and found the most amazing ones on ebay from a chinese seller - they arrived the other day and they really are fab, they're a light fabric, (although I thought i was buying paper parasols!) so I'm getting wrist corsages for the girls or a flower to attach to the parasol to add a little floral :) they parasols were, like, $4 or something!

Hi SOCCER1615 :))xx

I am with you on this one, I am having slight nightmares too about the flowers...resort prices are quite high and I would love to hear from more brides that maybe used or are using outside vendors!

Like anything with wedding planning, it seems cheap, but than you add it all together and you come up with a quite substantial sum...

But I loved, like I mentioned above, Chanelos idea to replace some flowers with alternatives, like umbrellas or corsages instead of baguettes :)) Let us know brides, what are your plans for flowers and decorations for your big day :))

xoxo

I'm nervous about the flowers down there.  I really love roses and would love to make the bridesmaids my bouquet and about 6 center pieces all roses.  I'm afraid that its going to be a fortune.  I have about 32 people booked already. More then I ever thought would come so thats kind of exciting.  Hope everyone else is having some fun wedding planning!!! :)

YAY Chanelo you leave in 118 days!!! :)xx We on the other hand still have 126 before we are off for our dream wedding at Dreams lol :D definitely send a picture of your dress though, would love to see hon :))xx

By the way ladies, what are you doing with your hair and are you wearing veil or tiara?! :))) as i mentioned earlier, went for hair trial and didnt like what hairdresser did at all...i mean it was nice, but it wasnt brilliant lol :D if you know what i mean :)) So i think i will probably take a chance and leave it to master hands of resort hairdresser :D

@Jessica your dress is STUNNING, I love the detail on it and I am sure it looks million times better on you than on the picture! Definitely post pic of you in it, if you will find it :)

@Sabrinaa Wow girl, your wedding is in 2 months!!! Thats really soon, I can only imagine how you feel right now :D And so lucky that your husbands family live close by, at least you wont need to worry about the flowers on the day at all :)) Do you think you could post us an email of florist you are dealing with in Santo Domingo? :)

Amurka,

Thank you! I will post a pic as soon as I find it!

There was an outside florist that other people were using - its on one of the forums so I'll try to find it (I wish I had known when I was reading it way back in May how expensive the resort was going to be - I wouldve written it down lol!).

I definitely think we should be able to find a florist for a reasonable price - and like I said I'm going to use the bridesmaid bouquets as decoration also, to keep from ordering more than necessary.

What photographers are you girls using?

Hey ladies,

The florist I'm using is in Santo Domingo - I went to visit them when I was there earlier in October to pick things out/see who I'm dealing with :)

I ended up getting my bouquet, 3 bridesmaids bouquets, 2 boutonnieres and some roses for my cake topper for about $220 Canadian dollars - well worth it when you compare what the resort wants to charge!  Because my wedding package included a bouquet for me, I instead asked for it to be swapped for extra coursages and boutonnieres which they agreed to do.  The florist I'm using is Jardin Constanza http://www.jardinconstanza.com/ is the website for them.  They only speak Spanish and I gave them pictures of exactly what I wanted.

Good luck ladies!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
