I'm new to this site and this is my first message. The site is fab for info, I'm getting married at the dreams La Romana on the seventh of September next year and from the Uk so I know little about the resort.

I read your post that you got your tiffany chairs from an outside vendor and was just wondering if they have a website ? or if they speak english ?. Any tips or advice would be really appreciated.

Congratulations

Gemma

Hi ladies!!  So I am leaving on Monday for my August 27th wedding!!  I cannot believe it is finally here.  Thank God for this site and everything you ladies share!!!  I have a question as I am trying to finalize everything!!  I am organizing my money and just wondering who to tip and what is an appropriate amount.  I figure the photographer, the DJ, Yanna, bar tenders, waiters?  I'm not sure if gratuity is included?? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!

We have 17 people booked, so excited! =)

Has anyone taken any of the tours, or looked into tour companies? I want to look into doing something fun & special for our wedding party while we're there and am just looking for suggestions!

Congratulations! How exciting, I bet the time will fly by now :D. Let the count down commence!!

I would highly recommend Seavis for tours. They depart directly from the fishing village of Bayahibe (2 mins down the beach from DLR) and offer eco-friendly tours. They also do a lot of work with the people of Saona island and can offer you a more private tour, away from the mass tourism. I've been out with them before and they offer a really great service! I can't speak highly enough of them!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
