It certainly would make things easier on the planning front. =p Oh well! Back to page . . . 197? or was it 179? >.<

Love the invites - they look great!

Andreanna - I know what you mean, it is a loooooooong haul to read through all of the posts in this thread.  It is hard too because some of their policies have changed since previous DLR brides have posted on here (a year or two ago) but still helpful info...just time consuming to go through everything!

Hi Amurka,

I am definitely doing welcome/OOT bags and have everything sorted already! I'll take some pics for you and post them. you dont have to drag them all the way to dominican - I am delivering them to my guests a week before the wedding so they can choose to pack what they like out of the welcome bag and I am including a bottle of wine with a wine bag that says "let's get this party started" to get everyone excited! I got the bags from vistaprint and they are fab. inside I am having large cellophane bags with different stickers on them saying "in sickness and in Health" for the first aid bag, "in good times and in bad" for the bag with things like a sewing kit, party feet, aloe vera etc. if you decide to do them I will send you a ton of the labels I have left!!! Oh and no, I still havent found a brochure yet!! BangHead.gif

Ok, some answers to your questions:

Sashes- we ordered them from weddinglinensdirect.com- very affordable and I thought they looked really nice.

Kissing Balls- we actually ordered off of ebay. They are still listed at: http://cgi.ebay.com/10X-White-Silk-Flowers-Kissing-Ball-Wedding-Decorations-/180527896962?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a084d1982 There are different colors to choose from. Also, we bought some ribbons from a craft store to spruce them up a bit. Unfortunately, we were one short on each side but I didn't notice until I saw the pictures!

Vases- The vases are not that big. The largest is 4" by 12" and the other two are smaller versions of the same vase. We put candles in the small ones and actually put the bridesmaids bouquets in the 4 X 12 vases.

I think that's all the questions for now:)

Good Luck!

Carrie

Chanelo you are soooo organized girl, well done!!!! :)))) To be honest the idea of delivering oot bags before we leave is excellent, I LOVE IT!!!!:)x

Hon it would be fantastic if you could send me labels if you have any left, you are a star!!! And idea to add a bottle of wine to OOT's is amazing too, it will go down a treat with our families, cos they are all big wine drinkers :D

...hopefully you will be able to find brochures though too sweetie xoxo

Hey girl!!!

I'm doing well. Wedding planning is hard lol i've been so busy setting up appointment with vendors and going to brideal shows and such.

I still haven't gottent he bridesmaid dresses but I am going with the girls at the end of next month to pick them out.  It's slow planning but I am getting there.  I am hiring a wedding planner because I can't do all of this by myself.

Thank you for the compliments on the reception hall.  I love places that look like they were pulled from a book haha.  my invites aren't going to come until like February because I am going to the Dominican Republic to pick them up myself so they don't get messed up during transit.

How is ur planning? Dreams gave me back my deposit, well sort of, I had to file a claim with my bank because the funds had not been returned to my account. But dreams sent me the confirmation they did it and everything was sorted out with my bank. I am excited for all DLR brides!!!!

I recently found my toasting glasses and cake server set.  My sister bought them for me as a gift :)  I got them from thingsremembered.com and I love how they look. We just ordered them toay and I engraved them with the quote "Our toast to love" along with our names and date.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
