OH MY GOD Noemi - your venue is INCREDIBLE!!! I dont know why you were ever having a destination wedding when you have the option of getting married there!! It is stunning, there is no where anything like that in Ireland... I love it! And am delighted you still get HDC - that is the icing on the cake!

Dana, I am so incredibly excited for you and am dying to hear how you get on - cant wait to see your pics too, I bet you will be stunning!!! it is just sooo exciting!!! pinkie.gif

The flowers over there are pretty expensive if you are asking for a type of flower that doesn't stand up to the heat very well.  It is so expensive because they will import them in.  I requested hydrangeas, and was astonished by the price of them.  I finally found a centerpiece that isn't costing an arm and a leg but I decided to make my own bouquets for the bridesmaids.  The resort wanted to charge $115 per bouquet of hydrangeas and I made my own for all 6 girls for around $75 or $12.50 per girl.

Dana,

Just wanted to come back on this forum to wish you and your fiancé an AMAZING time at DLR and a TERRIFIC wedding!!!!!!  After all these months of planning, you are finally there and ready for your big day!

I am soooooooo excited for you and thrilled to hear that the drama with DLR and HDC has been worked out!  You will be in my thoughts and I wish you a day filled with sunshine and a lifetime filled with love.

Best of luck to you...post lots of pics when you can and know we are thinking of you!

Lots of love,

Nancy

PS - If you are around the Preferred Club Pool Bar, please say a big HELLO and hugs and kisses to Waddy for me (I am keeping my fingers crossed that she is still there!!!!!), as well as a big Hello to Eddie in the Preferred Club Lounge (he was usually there on afternoons!).  They took exceptional care of us while we were there and we are still hoping to make it back to see them in November!  My boys ask about them all the time - they will always hold a special place in our hearts and we miss them very much.  Thanks so much, xoxoxo

We are getting married on July 19!!  We don't leave until July 24th so I will definitely see you there!

I have pics of cakes and flowers that Tiara sent me a while back if you want - PM me your email and I will forward them to you!  I am doing Real Touch corsages and bouts and one stem of my centerpieces will be Real Touch - for the rest I will be using real flowers from DLR.  I chose this route because we are having green orchids and white calla lilies and the orchids are CRAZY expensive down there while the calla lilies are reasonable!  I found it easier to send a picture of the bouquet etc. that you would like and then they will give you a quote on it - that way you don't have to try and describe it to them!

Hi Kelsie,

Congrats!!  Looking forward to seeing you there!  Thank you so much for sharing, I truly appreciate it.  I will definitely like to see pictures, I'm working with Yanna and have to say she is great but it's hard at times when it takes her a while to respond to emails.

Everything out there is really expensive,  I'm still trying to figure out my centerpieces, so I will definitely want to take a look at the pictures!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
