We will be leaving tomorrow on Sunwing at 11:25 and should be in Punta Cana by 3:40 (according to our tickets) Then a bus ride to the DLR. My TA acquire a bus for my group so hopefully the bus ride won't be as long as others have said.

Thanks Amurka!  I actually got my shoes from Charlote Russe in the mall and they were a lot cheaper than the first two pair that I bought.  I'm happy.  Dana, I had to get heels since I'm 5'2 and my FH is 6'3.  CONGRATS Dana!  I'm so excited for you.  My count down has offficially begun.

Is anyone else having a hard time getting in touch with the WC? I'm still wondering about the menu and how it's going to work.

DANA - I'm so excited for you!  Have a safe, awesome trip and can't wait to hear about everything.  Congratulations in advance!!

Mrs. Williams - I was having trouble getting a response from the WC (now Jenny since Tiara is officially on medical leave for her pregnancy) but lately she has been pretty good, responding within a couple days of my email.  Initally to get her to respond I had to type URGENT in the subject heading (suggestion from previous DLR brides) but ever since has been fairly good at replying.

I am currently a little confused with the whole menu situation as well.  It looks like we will now be having enough people that it will be cheaper to reserve a restaurant ($1260) than to pay per person for the silver, gold or buffet menus - my question is:  if you reserve a restaurant, does everyone just order off the menu like normal or do we have a set menu that we need to choose?  Hopefully I will hear back - unless any other brides on here happen to know???

This is the issue that I was discussing.  I rented the Seaside Grill and originally, Tiara told me that we would pick two entrees so that our guests had a choice between the two but now that Jenny has taken over, she said that we pick one entree and our guests eat what we choose.  I need clarification on this because I need to make our menu cards since our wedding is in less than 53 days.

I also have AWESOME news! Arnaud will be shooting my wedding after all :) He has suggested that for a couple of extra hundred he can fly out to NY and be my photographer...He will cover my entire wedding and I will still get to have the TTD...he even offered to add a free engagement session for me in August as I will be in Punta Cana for a friend's wedding he is covering.  SO excited to still be able to have him as my photographer, excited is not even the worddd :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
