I WILL LOSE IT IF I CAN'T HAVE HDC... its in my contract that i'm paying 65.00$ for a pass and it says HDC photography. I will freak.out. I have not heard from him so i'm assuming its ok. This sucks for everyone else!

Urs is good girl..if you already had them u have a contract n they will honor it..i booked with them today and he did me a solid n back dated it for me

I booked today as well and Arnaud emailed me back to say that I made it in time!

 

Dana - don't worry, from my emails with Arnaud he said that Dreams just asked for a list of people who had already booked so they can make sure that the new policy does NOT apply to people who have already booked.  Since you booked long before today, I'm sure you are already on that list, so like nemo831 said, you don't need to worry!  Also, I don't think they were trying to negotiate with Dreams about this, I understand that it is a definite that previous bookings do not apply to the new policy.

Just read your posts and also got email about Dreams from Arnaud last night....it sucks...but luckily we are booked with him so hopefully it wont affect us!!!!...

To be honest I find it a little bit unfair, I am sure most of you will agree with me, - that you as a bride and groom wont really have a choice on who is doing your wedding photos!!!...I have seen work of Dreams photographer and it is very very nice don't get me wrong, but sometimes ppl want someone else to do it or even prepared to fly photographer they know over to Dominican for their special day...or like my FI said last night, what if your brother or cousin is professional photographer too and whats to do them at your wedding...??? 

 

 

MrsEtienne2b - your OOT bags sound fabulous, well done girl, I am sure your guests will love them too!!!))x By the way where did you buy your bags from, if you don't mind me asking, or have you made them yourself?? ) Oh and I love your kids OOT bags too, we will only have one child with us (my niece), so I will make one very special bag for her with all the things she loves!!!))

 

Hope all of you girls are a bit less stresses today about HDC...cos i was fuming last night big time!!!

The bags are from my favourite hang out, HOMEBARGAINS ha ha.They're brown paper sandwich bags with handles on that I just cut off!!

 

Send me your email and I will send you all of the pictures cos I cant get them on this forum ans theyre all on a word document!!

 

Bad news about the photographer ladies, surely they can't expect you to change your plans especially seens as most of you have booked them already!!!!! Thats just sooo unfair.

 

I know this has been discussed already a million times, but is everyone 100% about whether theyre paying for things seperate or having the upgraded package?? 

 

I swear I will have a heart attack before we leave. 3 months to go and I just feel a bit like the planning is out of my hands!!!

I was SURE I was going with the ultimate package until I did the calculations and realized it will be cheaper to get the free package and add on extras.  I know we will not get a few things like the champagne flutes but my fiance doesn't drink anyways so not a big loss for us.  Plus, I figured that even if I end up spending the same amount on the package, at least it is on stuff that I want, not stuff that is thrown in the package!  Honestly, the photography was the eventual dealbreaker for me in the package department because the pricing was SO ridiculous for the resort photographer if you want extra photos ($15 per photo).

Like Kelsie said above, me and my fiance also thought at first to upgrade our wedding package and have everything included in it....however after finding this thread and reading what other ladies did and calculating what is actually included in price of our package; and what we want to have on our special day - for us it was much better to take a free wedding package and add any extras that we would like (that included photographer, who i really hope will be able make our pictures!!!)

 

Ladies I hope you will have a lovely weekend )) weather here in England where we are is fantastic today so I am guessing no wedding planning for me
