Hello ladies!!  The big day is a week from tomorrow (3/19) and we head down to DR on Wednesday morning (3/16).  Planning to do our "secret" civil ceremony here on Tuesday before we leave.  We threw together this wedding in about 6 weeks so I pray everything comes out beautiful since I haven't had the luxury of planning in advance.  I haven't posted much but I do promise to take the time to type up a thorough review with photos since the previous reviews have been so tremendously helpful!

 

I will also admit that I'm quite a bit nervous that Tiara may not be there as she is the WC that I have been working with.  But I will stay positive and keep my fingers crossed!! 

 

Thank you all for generously taking the time to post your plans, ideas, tips, and emotions as they have been not only helpful but extremely comforting.  You are all going to make beautiful brides!!! :)

Congrats and we will all be thinking of you. I'm nervous about Tiara not being there, but i've printed out every important and non important email from her to bring in a binder..

So excited for you!!!!! Even fi Tiara is not there I am sure that she left everythign organized and that the other WC will have everything held down.  At least you will meet with them before the big day to go over major details and ensure that things will go well.

The icon is next to the picture that looks like negatives from a roll of film.  You just click on it and find the pic and upload it.

 

I am definitely sure more 2012 brides will surface and after reading the ENTIRE forum I am sure I can be alot of help along with all other 2012 brides that have been following this thread.  I must say that if it wasn't for BDW I wouldn't be able to do a destination because I wouldn't even know where to begin.  Thank god for this forum!!!

 

I don't think I will be doing OOT bags.  My family is not very traditional so a lot of the things that I "should" be doing I won't do.  I don't want a flower girl or ring bearer either because I am trying to minimize the number of kids at my wedding.  I am going to get married in NY but I will not tell anyone as our best friends will be our witnesses.  I definitely want the sand ceremony because I think it is beautiful. I guess there are alot of things I need to sort out, it feels like there's still so much to do..hopefully I don't forget anything and remember it like a week before my wedding blink.gif

Sorry for the lack of input lately.....been veeeery busy!!!

 

So....I am officially a Mrs now :) WOOHOO!!!!!! Dreams La Romana was amazing, so perfect!!! Am in a rush so just stopping by to say hi and to let you all know I'll write a full review very soon, also HDC were fantastic - we couldnt be more pleased that we booked them - but will fill you in soon........

Cant believe we fly out a week today! Bags are all packed still have some bits to buy but can't help feeling I've forgotten something..........I will have to sit and make a check list as I have bought so much stuff and "hidden" it all over the house, not very organised  but that's me all over!!!!

 

I have trying to email the spa to book an appointment for 2 months nearly, has anyone else had trouble with this??

 

I'm so glad I found this forum it has been a great help and the advice and ideas have really helped  I realise I have listened more than posted but you have all been a great source of inspiration  thewave.gif

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
