Hi Nancy,

GREAT review and congrats! I was starting to wonder if renting out the SSG was a good idea and you just put my worries at ease.

To place pictures, there is a picture button.. its two icons left to the paperclip in the reply box (at the bottom of the page where you write your messages).  Hope that helps, you just choose the files you want and it uploads. Can't wait to see them :)

I do have a question about the SSG, did you get kicked out at 11? And did they serve almost right away? I'm worried about not having time to dance the night away... :)

Otherwise, i'm so happy you  had a wonderful wedding !

- Dana

I believe the silver dinner is $30 pp plus tax and gold is $35 and this is a private dinner.  We also had to pay $3 pp plus tax for bar service for the beach.  They werent bad with hidden fees.  the only thing that really popped up for us when we were down there was the extra $3, I heard about this on this forum before hand but wasnt sure.  In the end it really didnt bother us as we only had 14 ppl so it wasnt that much money.

Dana...you rock!  Once I get home tonight, I will try to upload a few of the many pictures Francisco took!  Thanks for the help!

As for the SSG, we ended up leaving before 11 pm (I think around 10:00 - 10:30), because the boys were exhausted and the rest of our group was older and ready to turn in.  They may have let us stay later...tips go a loooonnnng way in getting extra service, so you may be ok.  They were so good to each and everyone of us that it was tough leaving that place after two weeks.

Thanks dolfinluck!  The chocolate starfish were amazing!!!  :)

The head table - Yanna made the suggestion to have us at a rectangular table so we could see all of our guests.  I hadn't thought of that, so this was definitely much nicer:

Sorry for the onslaught of pictures...I just couldn't stop once Dana showed me how to post them!  If anyone has any questions, ask away and I will answer them to the best of my ability.

Thanks again for the well wishes and the endless ideas, tips and advice!  I could NEVER have done this without each of you on this forum.

Sorry Dana, I didn't answer your question about whether they served dinner right away...yes they did.  They started with our appetizers almost as soon as everyone got seated and it just kept coming.  Drinks and food were a never ending supply...

You should have plenty of time for dancing...we didn't have a bunch of speeches, just a few quick words (and some jokes told by the kids!), so you may want to factor in some time for those if you have them.

Once dinner was over, we pretty much started dancing after that...hope this helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
