Hola BDW ladies!!!

ôm enjoying my final days in the D.R. and can barely believe that It´s almost been a whole month since I´ve been here!!

Anyway, just wanted to drop a quick note in response to Pastor Rick´s abscence.  He is currently out of town meeting up with his daughter (who is also a missionary but in Africa!)  He was originally scheduled to do my wedding but then received word that there would be an opportunity to meet up with his daughter whom both him and his wife have not seen in quite some time.  So, with my permission, he arranged to have his associate pastor (Ryan Vandelinde) do my wedding-- which was fine, and he did a great job too!

I think Pastor Rick is due back at the end of the month - so basically any day now.

I´ll post my review when I get back home but to give you a slight preview....

DLR was FANTASTIC, Yanna was lovely, the wedding was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and there was very little that I would have done differently!!

Could you tell me if you book Pastor Rick to do your ceremony, do you still have to pay the resort the $300 for the legal ceremony??

And if you don't mind me asking how much does he cost?

Hi katierenae,

His charge is 300, but you pay him not the resort. Also, Tiara told me I did not have to pay for a day pass for him (as I am for HDC).  We are having a legal ceremony here at home first ( a friend is performing it). And our religious ceremony is down at la romana. I like how he approaches it. My FI is an athiest and I am not. So he was able to work with me on making a sweet cermony that will cover everything.

Hi Bee,

Congratulations...and thank you so much for sharing your stunning photos with us.  You and your husband looked like you walked off the pages of a magazine.  Simply breathtaking...

I too look forward to reading your review, if and when you get a few minutes to write one.

Quick questions about your nails and your cake:

1 - I know you talked about getting your nails done before leaving; were they the gel tips, and if so, how did they last?  We are leaving on a Thursday morning and the ceremony is not until the Tuesday, so it would be almost a week after having them done, so I'm not sure if it would work out.

2 - The flowers on your cake were beautiful...were they ones you brought down with you, and if so, where did you find them?

Again, everything looked beautiful, and it seems as though people were having a great time!  Congrats!

Nadia,

Wow, you were really there for 1 month???  That is amazing!  Thanks for giving us some good news about the resort, Yanna, the ceremony.  I'm so glad everything went well for you and your husband.  Congratulations to you both and welcome home!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
