Hey Girls

Just wanted to let you know that there is a group for Dreams La Romana Resort & Spa on facebook, you can get alot of information on there from people.

Everyone says that the hotel is amazing etc. but recently people have been complaning about theft in their rooms (Ipods, cell phones, straighteners, jewelery).

So ALWAYS remember to keep your valuables locked up in the safe or buy locks for your suitcases!  I'm sure everything will turn out great otherwise. wink.gif

Congratulations Bee!!!!!

I was thinking of you all weekend, wondering how your big day would go.  So glad to hear it went as well as it did.  Thanks for the update, even though you are on your honeymoon!  Now get back to your vacation and enjoy yourself with your new husband.

Like all the other brides to be on this site, we can't wait to read your review!

All the best,

Nancy  :)

I'm going to have to work on remembering to lock my stuff up. We're planning on doing ipods instead of a dj and it would be pretty crushing if everything was stolen BEFORE the wedding...

Hi, girls!

Congrads, Bee!! Glad to hear everything went well:)

hermosahoops, I love your mugs! We also gave mugs to our guest. We ordered them from Discountmugs.com so they were a little more expensive. But yours are a great idea! The only problem we ran into with them was that some people lost theirs or misplaced them. But, those that still had theirs at the end of the week still use them at home:) Also, I know that target sells mini first aid kits for 99 cents .

sera1124, I had a beach ceremony and reception about 2 months ago and I did not hear anything about a private area that they were constructing. It could be true but not sure where they would put it. The ceremony and reception were both fine. We had some onlookers but security kept the swimmers away from the area right in front of us and honestly, I was so focused on my husband that he was the only one I saw:) We did not have an arch. They set up a table in between the mionister and you guys so that was fine for us. Also, the reception was no problem. Our ceremony was at 4 and our party didn't really start till after 6 so most people were gone from the beach by then. We actually did have some party crashers- which we wlecomed them- but they came at like the second to last song. lol:)

Thanks for the Target tip Gem! I'll have to go check there this weekend. I'm also adding big plastic glasses I got 4/$1 to the bags. I figure if people lose their nice mugs, at least they'll have a backup. That's nice to hear your guests still use the ones you gave them. I hope my parents at least hang onto theirs.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
