If you are okay with ordering off of the menu then there is no extra charge. Also, your guests would all have to eat the same meal, which you would choose in advance (with the exception of vegetarians who they will prepare something special for).

Hope this helps.

Yikes! Looks like we posted at the same time!! Good to see you got your answer!
we have to pick the same meal?? my fi understood we can order off the menu anything we want as long it is on their menu....hmmmmm... something to look into

Congrats to the all ladies who will be getting married at DRL!

I am wondering if anyone has been able to get a local catholic priest to come celebrate their wedding at Dreams La Romana...we could go to the church of Altos de Chavron but I would rather keep everyone at the resort...let me know if you have any info!

Tomorrow my FI is calling Tiara to confirm again. I asked him and he said he did ask the question. But this time he's going to confirm some stuff and get her to email it to us. I mean, honestly, we are paying them an extra 1000 to do what they would already be doing anyway, but for less work as it is a smaller group (we are about 40) I will keep you posted:)

I used fake flowers and the photographer didnt even know they were fake till I told her a couple of hours later. I think when ppl hear fake flowers they think of dollar store type. As long as they look really who cares if they are fake, the plus is you can have them as a keepsake or even re-sell them to other bride. If your MIL and Mom are willing to pay the difference for real flowers then go with it otherwise I would go with what you want.

When I asked Tiara about this she said no as catholic priest will not perform a ceremony outside of a church in the DR.

I used real touch flowers for everything (except for the flower petals) and I used angels accent (i believe pink petals used her too) and loved them!!! i believe she is a bit more than other vendors but her work it beautiful and she uses higher end flowers. I still saved a bundle over what I would of spent at DLR. search the forum and you can find other vendors

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
