Hi KPEG,

Im almost done writing my whole script (sand ceremony included). I got all of the ideas off BDW from other brides who posted theirs. I looked through all of them and took parts of it which I felt were singificant to me and my fiance.
As soon as I am done with it, I can send it to you if you would like.
What is your e-mail?

Im so sorry to hear all these horrible stories about hairstyles for the wedding day....really freaks me out; I have to start practicing doing my own hair since I have very long and pretty thick hair; I look best with it straight but I need to do something so it doesnt look boring (so far im thinking half up and with sideswept longer bangs); curls dont last too long for me since my hair is long and heavy!

Thanks for the heads up ladies!

xoxo

Amy congrats and thank you for the great review once again. I had a quick question in regards to your cake! It was absolutely beautiful! Could you give me some info on it (are those flowers real provided by the resort? If now, where did you get them from? Where did you get your cake topper? What flavor did you get for the cake and did you provide Tiara with a picture of it?

Thanks so much and sorry for all the questions.

****Ok last post for now I promise...this is what happens when you fall behind on this forum LOL

Hi,
I just asked Tiara to keep the cake simple with no decorations on it and I provided the flowers (real touch purchased from Michael's, approx $17/stem). My sister made the cake topper from foam core and then painted it and added the Swarovski crystals, and I asked Tiara to just use toothpicks to stick it in.
I got the vanilla flavour. It was good from what I remember, but we hardly ate any of it and I just gave it to the servers to take home.
I paid extra for the extra pounds, but it wasn't necessary. Although, I think the larger cake looked good with the large cake topper.

hi everyone!

Amy your wedding sounds amazing and you truly were such a beautiful bride!! many congratulations!

I did hear back from Tiara today with regards to packages etc.

I was wondering if any of you booked your wedding packages direct with Dreams or through your Travel agent?

Im totally baffled with what to do, my travel agent offers a package which suits us better as we will only be a very small party, However im worried about how it all ties together between TA and Tiara?

If anyone has any suggestions i would be so grateful for a nudge in the right direction!!!

Also as a florist i am a little curious on the types of bouquet the dominican florists do! if anyone has any photos can you possibly post them?

thanks ladies xxx

That's strange... I didn't know of any other packages other than what Dreams offers. I would double check that with your TA and Tiara.

I just told Tiara I wanted bright pink and orange and she showed up to my room with a fabulous bouquet of lillies and roses. Wrapped in white ribbon. I loved it. But in the extreme heat, it did wilt by the end of the day and in that aspect I wished I had of brought real touch bouquets...

**Btw, I forgot to mention in my review that there was actually a 2nd wedding on my day and I didn't even know until we were headed to the reception and I looked over and there was a bride & groom at one of the nearby restaurants (giving us cut-eye, I might add!).

There were SO many brides down there that haven't heard of this forum, so don't be surprised if you meet other girls that you hadn't met online.

But, moral of this story is that the other wedding in no way affected or interfered with my day and wouldn't have even know unless I happened to see them standing at the restuarant. Since I booked pretty early, I think I had first choice of locations for the ceremony/reception..

I booked my wedding package directly with Tiara but I know Apple vacations lets you book the wedding package with your travel on their site but they are the same price and package (since i lasted checked), i would double check with Tiara b/c I would hate to see them not honor it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
