VallieR, Dolfinluck and KPEG I can harldy believe that the time has practically arrived for you ladies! Wow, time is flying on the forum!! I'm so excited for you ladies :)

flowersfizz28 and taylorbabe, welcome aboard!! It's good to have other ladies who are booking DLR as well.

Flowersfizz28, if you really want to have a "private" affair, I agree that either the gazeebo for the ceremony & reception or use the gazeebo for the ceremony and pay extra for the "romantic dinner" and tell them that you also want to include your two children. Both options would be really private and memorable.

Pink Petals, I'll be at DLR from the 31st of August to the 11th of September so I'm sure we'll see each other! What day will you arrive?

Was it yourself who was considering renting the SSG?
Hi Taylorbabe;

I am getting the Tiffany chairs so I have a pic of them which Tiara sent me. They are a little pricey I know but Ive always envisioned having a wedding with Tiffany chairs :)
They cost $15 per chair and you can use them both at the ceremony as well as at the reception!

They come in white, silver, gold and brown!

Here is a pic:

There are some other chairs which you pay $8 for but Im not too sure what they look like; I believe its those white folding chairs which are also really pretty.

Thanks sooooo much Pink Petals! Omg those chairs are gorgeous! I would love love love to get those but just dont know how I could squeeze them in. Hard to budget when we're all doing different combinations and don't know if one persons price quote is based on that info...might have other items that pop up unexpectedly that are more important. Hmmm

Ah Thankyou so much for the advice ladies, So excited for all of us!!

Does anyone happen to know the extra charges for having dinner in the gazebo? Im really loving that idea as we are hoping to have our renewal ceromony late in the afternoon, maybe last wedding of the day? so i could decorate it for the ceromony and dinner?

Does anyone know if the gazebo comes with the white drapes that are shown in most photos?

Thanks for all your supportxxx

I loved the way the gazebo was decorated for your wedding so I may just go with that, did you get charged for the fabric in the gazebo and chairs? Also the zip lining looks AMAZING, I had not seen that anywhere and know my step kids would love that, do you think it was worth it?

Sorry for asking so many questions :-)
I don't know if there would be anywhere to hang lanterns on the seaside grill deck. I think there are some trees that you might be able to hang a couple from, but not very many. The cost for the gazebo decoration was $350. To be honest, I am not sure if that included the chair sashes, or if the chair sashes were included in the Ultimate Package, but I think that was part of the $350. The price also included four flower hangings for the gazebo posts, but we did not want them so they just put them on the tables at the reception instead.

Ziplining was a lot of fun! It was about a 1 hour and 40 minute busride from the resort, so it took most of the day, but I think it was worth it.. especially if you have never been ziplining before!

In regards to picture below, is that still the same SSG deck? If so, did they move the tables out of the way for the dancing or there is so much space left at the end of the deck?

What happens if it rains? Which location do you get moved to?

Thanks sooo much for all your help again!

xoxo

The picture is the same SSG deck and no, nothing was moved! It's just hard to tell in the other picture how much room was actually left at the end of the deck for dancing. The deck is pretty big and we had the head table plus four big round tables (30 people total) and there was plenty of room left!

To be honest, I'm not sure what you would do if it rains. Tiara had said once I believe that it could be moved into one of their ballrooms, but we didn't have to worry about that and neither will you because it's NOT going to rain for you! :)

Hi, girls! Wow, I got behind for a few days bc I've been so busy with everything...and I just caught up with all the new posts!

First, Tiara, thank you for all you are doing for us. I know at times we seem demanding but we are all very grateful for your help. We realize how busy you are and every bride that comes back on here after her wedding, has nothing but good things to say about you =)

Congrads to you, Amy! Can't wait to hear your review!

Good luck, May Bride! and to all the May brides:)

Thanks Jenne for the great review! Can I have everyone's facebook name? I would love to see pics!

Welcome to the newbies! Good luck planning:) I have found out that there is definitely a lot more to it than I ever thought! In the beginning I figured that the resort would do most of it- and while they can, after joing this forum, these other great brides have shared so many great ideas from deorations to gifts and now I just want to do everything myself! lol =)

So I got a little over 2 months to go...so excited! My Matron of Honor told me yesterday the date of my Bachelorette party and that it's going to be in Atlantic City! Are you girls having Bachelorette parties or showers?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
