I will let some time pass and I will ask Tiara about it.

Hey Pink Petals,
Like I said, I'm fairly certain the extra cost for alcohol is only for beach receptions. You will not be charged at the SSG.

Here's an email I found from Tiara:

My email:

"Hi Tiara,

Hope you are well.

As you may recall, I am getting married on July 14 at 5:00 p.m. and we have booked the entire Seaside Grill for 6:00 p.m.

Will people be able to order drinks from the SSG bar for a half-hour or so until we take our photos? I am assuming since we have rented out the entire restaurant that there will not be an additional cost for our guests to drink from the bar?

Please confirm this"

Her response:

"The bar is included on the price.

Best regards,"

That's exactly what I'm doing. $350 for the arch from Tiara and I'm bringing my own tulle. Don't trust that it won't cost a lot extra to decorate. I'm just going to the fabric store and bringing down my own material.

Just waiting on Tiara to send me the dimensions of the structure.

I really can't believe they are charging $350 for a wooden arch!!!! They really do stick there arm in at every oportunity don't they. I was going to get married on the beach but I just refuse to pay anymore than absolutely nessessary, As we are coming from Ireland it is a 10 hour flight and £1300 per person, so we really have to reign the cost in somewhere. So when it says in the complimentary list "use of the gazebo and beach front area" Where exactly do you get at the beach front area? Because you pay for an arch you pay for the guppa and you pay for the wooden frame??

Sorry for yet another rant but the costs of this are just adding up and up and up and Tiara either doesn't answer or gives different answers!!!!

Hi, guys:)

SunandSand, sorry to hear about your troubles. You, me, and LizzyJane will definitely have to meet up and have a drink, like LJ said, when we are all there =) What day do you guys arrive and what day do you leave?

PinkPetals, so glad everything worked out and you finally have you date confirmed!!

Thanks everyone for help with the prices...if it wasn't for you girls, I think we would all be in for a surprise once we got there...lol.

I agree with LJ, $350. is crazy for a wooden arch! Is anyone else doing it on the beach and having something else or nothing?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
